EDGE Architecture Festival Budapest 2026 is an international platform exploring the future of architecture and design through lectures, discussions, exhibitions, and the EDGE Awards. Bringing together established and emerging voices, the festival creates space for critical dialogue around the ecological, technological, political, and cultural challenges shaping the built environment. In 2026, EDGE expanded beyond architecture for the first time, introducing dedicated art and design categories and broadening its interdisciplinary scope.

For the visual identity, we developed a bold communication system built around vibrant colours, strong typography, and an editorial approach that places headlines at the centre of the visual language. The identity was designed to reflect the festival's critical and forward-looking perspective while remaining highly adaptable across print, digital, and environmental applications.

Our role extended beyond graphic design and communication. We were actively involved in the organisation of the festival, participated in the awards jury, and contributed to the curatorial process, helping shape both the visual and conceptual direction of the event.

Somalia National Pavilion — La Biennale di Venezia 2026

SADDEXLEEY
The 61st International Art Exhibition – La Biennale di Venezia marked a historic milestone with the opening of the first-ever Somalia National Pavilion. For SADDEXLEEY, featuring works by Ayan Farah, Asmaa Jama, and Warsan Shire, we developed a visual identity that translates the exhibition's themes into a contemporary graphic language while honoring Somalia's cultural heritage.

The identity is built around typography and a restrained graphic system inspired by Somali visual culture and the country's national colors. Designed to complement rather than compete with the artworks, the flexible identity was applied across exhibition graphics, environmental elements, printed materials, and digital communication, creating a cohesive visual experience throughout the pavilion.

Rituals of Beauty
Feather and Painting: Body Decoration in the Amazon - Photo Exhibition

Opened on 18 May 2026 at the Museum of Ethnography, Budapest, Rituals of Beauty presents photographs by Belgian cultural anthropologist Gustaaf Verswijver and his wife, Martine de Roeck, introducing the body decoration, ritual attire, celebrations, and concepts of beauty of the Amazonian mẽbêngôkre (Kayapó) community. Created in collaboration between ATELIER DE_VISION and DE_FORM, the project connects graphic design, architecture, and scenography within a unified spatial narrative. The visual system draws on the patterns of body painting and the circular forms of feather ornaments, using vivid tones in communication materials and deeper atmospheric colours in the exhibition space. The spatial design creates a gradually unfolding environment in which the photographs remain the protagonists. Large-scale background images, framed works, sightlines, angled compositions, and colour-coded thematic units guide visitors through body painting, feather ornaments, ritual attire, ceremonies, and everyday life, culminating in a central immersive installation.

Three years ago, the Greek Catholic Museum opened its doors with a permanent exhibition exploring the visual and spiritual culture of the Hungarian Greek Catholic Church.

Through liturgical objects, sacred artworks, archival materials, and immersive media, the exhibition presents a unique cultural heritage shaped by both Eastern and Western traditions. A contemporary exhibition language, interactive storytelling, and a visual identity inspired by Byzantine and Carpathian traditions create an experience accessible to all generations.

Three years ago, the world’s first Greek Catholic museum opened its doors, and it was a great honor for us to take part in designing both the permanent exhibition and the museum’s complete visual identity. We truly enjoyed collaborating with Irén Szabó and the museum team, and were inspired by the openness, sensitivity, and dedication with which they approached the presentation of Greek Catholic cultural heritage.

The permanent exhibition presents the unique visual and spiritual world of the Hungarian Greek Catholic Church through liturgical objects, ecclesiastical artworks, manuscripts, and multimedia installations. Our goal throughout the exhibition and identity design process was to translate this rich historical material into a contemporary and accessible visual language.

Rather than creating a conventional museum display, we approached the space as an atmospheric, intuitive, and inclusive experience, where graphic elements, typography, lighting, sound, and interactive content work together to shape the visitor journey. The concept draws inspiration from the visual traditions of Byzantine and Carpathian ecclesiastical art, reinterpreted through clean contemporary design tools in a way that remains engaging and accessible for all generations.
