VST MIDI Driver (Falcomod) is a Windows user-mode software MIDI synthesizer driver which is capable of using any 32 or 64 bit VST2 Instruments.
This fork of the driver supports Windows NT4 SP6/2000/XP/Vista/7/8/10/11 (both WaveOut and ASIO output).

Features and fixes of this fork:

1. Fully configurable sample rate and sample format as well as buffer size.
2. Output gain adjustment.
3. 4-channel audio mode so you can output different ports to different speakers (surround sound MIDI).
4. VSTi editor dialog can be shown and used when a port is activated.
5. Default waveout output mode has no dependency on Bass library so it can be used with Midi clients that use Bass.
6. ASIO output mode with fully configurable ASIO channel selection (4-channel audio mode is also supported).
7. Automatic 32-channel/dual port mode when used together with Falcosoft Soundfont Midi Player (FSMP).
8. Improved high DPI compatibility.
9. Supports running status.
10. Supports midiOutSetVolume (MIDICAPS_VOLUME).
11. GUI for setting default MIDI Out device is re-enabled on Win 8+ if Coolsoft MIDI Mapper is installed.

1. More precise Midi timing: In case of Bassmidi added the new Async mode option, in case of Bass_VST deltaFrames are implemented, and in case of the player QPC is used instead of timeGetTime when available.

2. Added direct JBridge support. This means that after you have installed JBridge 1.76+ you can use the same plugins either with the x86 or the x64 versions of FSMP. Bridging happens automatically at run-time.

3. Added LCD backgrond color customization (Main menu -> Main display BG color). Munt VSTi and OPL3 VSTi's background and font color are synchronized with the player.

4. Added maximum polyphony (active voices/notes) part to Channels/Spectrum display dialog.

5. Wave and mp3 writes are now buffered and async if OS supports it (Win2000+).

6. Added new advanced memory stats to About dialog.

7. Added GS style Display Letters support.

8. Added support for embedded DLS soundfonts in RMI files (HW Audigy+ only).

9. Added embedded DLS/SF2 info, Aftertouch events filter and customizable Controller filter to Event Viewer/Debugger.

13. Added new versions of Munt VSTi and OPL3 GM VSTi.

14. Added option to associate VST effects with Bassmidi's chorus(CC #93) and reverb(CC #91) controllers.

15. Fixed multi channel audio mixer bugs under XP/Win9x. Now volume slider changes the volume of all speakers not only front.

16. Fixed non-working Duration display thread when themes are disabled in 64-bit version and fixed 'Enable Themes' option logic.

17 Fixed misplaced Piano Channel Map popupmenu in x86 version.

18. Pitch bend k**b position can be fixed in 'Force Manual' mode.

19. Added 'Use relative paths in INI files' option to Main menu -> Storage of Settings. It can help creating portable configurations.

20. Tempo can be changed even by 1% if you press left/right arrow on your keyboard when tempo trackbar is selected.

21. Added GM Master Balance support to Bassmidi output mode so balance slider works when 'Use SysEx for Volume/Balance' is selected.

22. Other minor fixes and enhancements.

2. Added more accurate LCD display and incoming Midi message indicator. The old temporary text area is only used in case of information not suitable to display on the new LCD.

3. Added maximum used partials/polyphony to display. It's reset when the synth is reset either by pressing Reset on the interface or when GM/GS reset is sent.

4. When used with Soundfont Midi Player 6.1+ the main display background and font color are synchronized with the player.

5. Fixed missing active channel indicator dots in case of non-latin language/locale settings of Windows.

1. Added title/row numbering to playlist.
2. Added Midi data recording/sequencing from Midi input capability . You can find the 'Record' button in Event viewer/Debugger dialog.
3. Added capability to edit Meta and SysEx events in Event viewer/Debugger.
4. Added saving Midi Text/Lyrics as Lyrics (*.lrc) or simple text files (if you save Midi to Mp3 now you can have timed lyrics in Mp3 players that support .lrc files).
5. Added capability of loading/saving embedded Soundfonts in case of Riff Midi files. You can save such files from the Event viewer/Debugger.
6. Improved file type detection. Now you can load supported files with any (even unknown) extensions.
7. Added displaying detected format and original extension to Event viewer/Debugger.
8. Added sample rate selection to Device Settings dialog for non-Bass recording mode.
9. In shuffle mode Next also shuffles and Prev jumps back to previously played files.

2. Added Nice Pan default/On/Off switch (default means on for GM mode and off for MT-32 mode).
3. Added Dual Synth mode On/Off switch. Also on the interface 2nd synth's channels are grayed when not active.
4. Added React to GM/GS Reset messages On/Off switch.
5. Added SFX Drum preset. It's only activated when you send GS compatible program change 56 (SFX kit) to channel 10 and CM-32 ROM is loaded.
