Selain virus yang mematikan, yang harus kita lawan dalam pandemi COVID-19 adalah informasi menyimpang, atau sering disebut dengan hoax. Seperti yang kita ketahui, informasi sangat mudah menyebar melalui kanal-kanal digital seperti WhatsApp, Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, dll. Maka dari itu, kita perlu memverifikasi setiap informasi yang kita dapat. Jangan sampai kita mengonsumsi atau bahkan menyebarkan hoax.

Informasi yang akurat merupakan salah satu faktor penting dalam penanganan pandemi COVID-19; salah satu sumber terpercaya adalah tenaga medis dan kesehatan yang memiliki ilmu dan informasi lapangan yang teruji.

Dr. Faheem Younus adalah kepala penanganan penyakit menular di University of Maryland Upper Chesapeake Hospital dan University of Maryland Harford Memorial Hospital. Beliau adalah seorang dokter ahli bedah dan penyakit menular dari Amerika Serikat yang sedang rajin membagikan informasi seputar COVID-19 dalam bahasa Indonesia di sosial media.

Meski hanya bermodal alat penerjemahan daring dengan hasil terjemahan yang seadanya, Dr. Faheem terlihat berkomitmen dalam menyebarkan informasi megenai COVID-19.
