A Virtual Private Network (VPN) is a system that enables private browsing on the internet.

In the past, the “blue check” could only be obtained by public figures and or people who have been reported by the media. Now, all users in several countries that are eligible including Indonesia can obtain the “blue check”.

In July 2023, Meta has officially launched the Meta Verified feature in Indonesia. At the cost of 130K IDR per month (for iOS & Android) or 100K IDR (for website), Instagram and Facebook users can have a blue tick on their accounts and obtain special features that normal accounts don’t have.

To subscribe to Meta Verified, you have to be at least 18 years old, have a public or private account that matched with your official identification, enable two-factor authentication, and have history of previous uploads.

You will get a verification badge, exclusive stickers on Story and Reels, protection from clone accounts, reach a wider audience, and the most importantly: you will be connected to Meta teams directly, not a chatbot.

Launched this month, exactly on July 6th 2023, Meta launched an app that has been sought as the direct competitor of Twitter.

During its first day of launch, ‘Threads’ was the #1 trending topic on Twitter in various countries, including Indonesia. As of this post, Threads has accumulated over 150 million downloads, breaking the record as the most downloaded app within 10 days

That said, there have been comparisons between the two apps from internet users; claiming that their preferred app is better than the other.
