I recently did Dublin based photographer Rich Gilligan's business cards. The brief was 'I know what I like and I like what I know'! So we decided to hand set the type in 8pt Bembo, 12pt Garamond italic and get a plate made of his signature. Then we letterpress printed them on two different presses in silver ink on a heavy black board. Rich recorded the whole process so hopefully we'll have a small flick some time soon. Right Rich? Check out Rich's work at www.richgilligan.com

Finally got the phone situation sorted, you may now contact at will. If this phone has the same luck as the last it'll end up on the no. 27 bus along with all my numbers from the last few years. Now to build back up my phonebook.

Just back from the Oxford Book Fair, made possible by the Fine Press Book Association. Many thanks to them. Absolutely amazing stuff on display from various independent presses from across the globe. It made for a very inspiring Saturday.

The more varied the work, the happier the designer. Today we will be mostly illustrating, lino cutting, designing for web and starting work on a small brochure. There may even be time for a quick lunch.
