The local enterprise offices are offering up to €2500 to businesses to improve their online presence. The grant is given to those who want to improve lead generation and/or start selling products online.
Who is eligible?
• The vouchers are targeted at businesses that have a limited online trading presence
• less than 10 employees
• turnover less than €2million
• applicants must be registered and trading for minimum of 12 months
The vouchers are available to a maximum value of €2500 or 50% or eligible expenditure. Whichever is lesser. This means that the online trading voucher will cover 50% of the web design costs. So if you were to get a quote for a website at €800, the voucher would cover €400. If the website was a total cost of €5000, the voucher would cover €2500. However if the cost of the website is above €5000, e.g. €8000, then the voucher will still only cover €2500 of the cost.
Except in unique cases (at the Local Enterprises Office dicretion), you will need to get 3 quotes from 3 different web design companies for your web design specification. These will need to be included in your application. Ultimately you will get to choose which company, you will go forward with.
Once you application has been successful, you will have 90 days to get the website complete by the company of you choosing. Once you have paid the full cost of the website, you will be reimbursed via the online trading voucher by the Local Enterprise Office.
