The Gorey Polish Cultural association are working with an agency in Poland close to the Ukraine border, Folkowisko Association, who are directly supporting Ukrainian refugees and organising cross border supply of first aid and other resources.

They currently require medical supplies and financial aid.
A collection point in Gorey has been arranged at 68, Main Street, Gorey, Monday to Friday 9.30-5.30, to collect donations of the following
1. Medical first aid:
- disposable gloves
- ace bandages
- curved scissors
- thermal blankets
- tweezers
- triangular bandages
- plasters
- gauze
- gauze swabs
- safety pins
- clasps
- disinfectants
- antiseptic wipes
- sterile compresses
- elastic bands
- painkillers
- gel compresses for heating and cooling
- cotton wool etc.

Gorey.pl Polish Cultural Association set up collections for crucial medical supplies needed to help treat people in Ukraine.

These collections are for FIRST AID SUPPLIES ONLY and donations can be dropped to:

- Grants Pharmacy, The Avenue, Mon-Sat 9am-6pm.
- LloydsPharmacy, Lower Main Street, Gorey, Mon-Sat 9am-6pm
- Whelans Pharmacy Gorey, St. Michael's Road, Gorey, Mon-Fri 8.30am-6.30pm, Sat 9am-3pm

With the distance people can travel for exercise potentially set to increase to 20 kilometres next week, the operators of an Irish website that shows people what is in their area are expecting a fresh surge of traffic.

We anticipate the announcement of a 20km distance for travel and exercise next week. There are updates on our 2kmfromhome.com website to reflect this, you can see where your 20km overlaps with family and friends, and if it’s possible for you to meet up.

Hastily assembled 2kfromhome site has been a huge hit

In line with the government’s updated restrictions on movement, we have added 5km and 20km to our 2kmfromhome.com web application.

There are some handy new features too, you can now search for any location and you can drop a second pin on your friend or family member’s location and see if there is an overlap which would allow you to meet up.

Furthermore, you can share your location with your friends via messaging apps or email for them to check what is within your permitted distance.

The app has been very popular and I hope you will continue to find it useful. Please feel free to share it!!
