If you know anyone whose website is hosted on Register 365, make sure they DO NOT click any links in unexpected emails with “Compulsory Email Update” in the subject, as the link is to a malicious hacker’s page on a compromised (but otherwise legit) website.

A heads-up on a new data-mining scam, where they scrape the web and LinkedIn for data but then try to dupe you into supplementing what little they can find by pretending they’re asking you to opt-out - both confirming you exist and conning you into providing them with even more info in the process.

Do not engage; just mark it as spam and block the sender.

The “EU Trade Register” scam is doing the rounds again, with an unsolicited email doing the rounds declaring that “updating is free”, while the small print contains the fact that they’ll try to charge you nearly €1,500 for a useless listing that you can, indeed, “update at no extra charge”.

If you run any page on here and get anything remotely like the screenshot, report it and delete it.

The claim is a lie, and the link is a fake copy of the Facebook login, which they use to steal your login details and lock you out of your own account and take over your page so they can scam your followers with fake “special offer” posts.

If you're using Google Analytics for your website please be careful and don't be caught out by the latest spam scam from a company called "Fastbase"; they have NOTHING to do with Google itself and are only including the reference as a misleading sales scam.

NEVER, EVER "Sign in with your Google Analytics" credentials (or ANY other credentials) to an unknown/unverified site, particularly if the email address that it comes from is not recognised (in this case a fastbase account in a mailing list provider, in order to make it look somewhat legit).

Just a quick note to warn clients and others that the scammers behind the “European Business Register” have changed the name of their scam to “European Company Network”.

Do NOT reply or engage with this outfit.

A warning for any clients - and non-clients - using cPanel on their hosting.

There’s a “phishing” email doing the rounds from scammers, claiming that you need to log in to review GDPR updates; the url or attachment is just a spoofed page which will then send on your attempted login to the lowlifes...... as your login is correct, you’ll have given them the login to your actual hosting.

Delete the email and keep the above in mind for ANY and ALL unexpected emails.

ATTENTION CHANGES TO THE TRADING ONLINE VOUCHER SCHEME:

• These following changes will apply to the Scheme from the 7th April to 30th September 2020:
o The requirement for co-funding in respect of applications received after 7 April 2020 is reduced from 50% to 10%
o The introduction of a second voucher of up to €2,500 for businesses that have already availed of a voucher under the Scheme but who find themselves needing to upgrade their existing e-commerce capability. The second voucher would also have a requirement for co-funding of 10%.
o The drawdown of payments in respect of new vouchers in two instalments rather than in one instalment as is presently the case.
o Subscriptions to low cost online retail platform solutions, are eligible expenditure under the scheme, is to allow applicants to quickly establish a retailing presence online.
o Additional project evaluation criterion - How will the project aid the business during the COVID-19 Pandemic?
