מנהלת הסיסמאות הפופלרית LastPass מוצאת את עצמה שוב במרכזה של פרשת האקינג, לאחר שבאוגוסט השנה הצליחו האקרים לגנוב חלק מקוד המקור שלה.

כעת, החברה מודה כי המידע הזה נוצל על מנת לגנוב מידע רגיש על לקוחותיה כמו שמות, כתובות אימייל ו-IP, ואפילו סיסמאות. LastPass מדגישה כי מדובר במידע מוצפן ב-AES 256-bit, ולא ניתן לפצח אותו ללא סיסמאת המאסטר השמור אצל המשתמשים

עם זאת, יכול להיות שהתוקפים ינסו באמצעות מתקפת Brute Force ללא הגבלת כמות ניסיונות ההתחברות.

מומלץ לכל משתמשי המערכת לשנות את סיסמאת המאסטר שלהם במיידי, ולהיזהר מהודעות חשודות- סיכוי סביר שהתוקפים ינסו להפיל לקוחות רבים במתקפת פישינג על ידי עידוד לחיצה על לינק זדוני.

Alert- The Israel National Cyber Directorate has announced that an active phishing campaign is currently running.

The email is perceived to be sent from an official organization and has a ZIP file attached to it, or a link embedded in the text itself. Often it was spotted in an HTML file attached to the mail.

This file contains an MSI file that downloads a remote access and control system.

Anti-virus agents do not recognize this file, so it's highly possible that the mail will be able to pass email filtering and end in your inbox.
