How to teach a child a proper attitude to money?
Wastefulness and an irresponsible attitude to money is one of the problems of modern adults. Therefore, in order to avoid financial failures in the future, it is worth learning the basics of financial literacy from childhood👇🏻
Pocket money
Give your child a small amount of money for their own expenses. You can come up with a reward system for homework or good grades. It is also a good idea to talk to your child about their expenses at the end of the month: ask them about what they had enough money for and what they didn’t, and what they need to do to make sure they have enough money for their own needs.
Savings
Have your child set financial goals. Saving for a computer, a toy, a bicycle, or any other item will be an opportunity for them to learn to set money priorities and know how to manage money so that they can get what they want.
Discussion
Discuss financial topics with your child. Ask questions about what money is for, what is reasonable spending, provide examples, and encourage critical thinking. Discuss topics related to finances: gifts, family shopping at the store, and other spending.
Spending Diary
Invite your child to keep a diary of their personal expenses. This will give the child a clear understanding of what they spend money on, what purchases are reasonable and what purchases are not, so they can predict and know ahead of time how they will spend their money in the future.
The foundations of financial literacy are also taught at .kiber.one. With the help of a special internal currency, «kiberones», which the child can spend on things in a special store👍
