New Aesthetic Report - Memory Heatmap
Introducing the New Aesthetic Report
We’ve redesigned our Aesthetic Report to make it more intuitive and actionable.

The new report will go live during February 2026.

The previous report focused on vertical and horizontal balance metrics. While technically accurate, these indicators were often hard to interpret and didn’t clearly explain what to change in an image.

The updated report now centers on visual memorability, combining a clear Memory Score with an easy-to-read Memory Heatmap.

The heatmap shows how attention is distributed across the image:

Red – Highly noticeable and memorable areas
Yellow – Medium memorability
Blue – Low memorability
Instead of abstract balance values, the new report shows what viewers actually will remember. This makes it easier to validate focal points, reduce visual competition, and optimize layouts with confidence.

The result is a more human-centered, actionable aesthetic analysis designed to support real creative decisions.

The score reflects how well the image captures attention, maintains visual focus, and delivers clear and engaging content overall

Jonas Reggelin: I see tremendous untapped potential in many websites. Too often, the focus is solely on visual aesthetics or technical functionality, while the psychological mechanisms driving user behavior are completely overlooked. This is a critical mistake, as 95% of our decisions are made unconsciously. Neuro Web Design addresses this gap by analyzing and optimizing websites to not only look appealing but also activate the right subconscious triggers in users.

Feng-GUI: An important part of your work involves predictive eye-tracking. Why is this technology so crucial in neuro web design?

Jonas Reggelin: Predictive eye tracking is a game changer. It allows us to precisely simulate how users perceive a website and where their gaze will naturally fall—even during the design phase. With this feature, you can select specific images and instantly compare AOI values through a detailed table.
For each image, the comparison table provides scores on key metrics:
Clear – the clarity of the content,
Complex – the cognitive demand of visual elements,
Focus – the concentration of viewer attention,
Exciting – the engagement potential,
and Visibility Score for each defined AOI.

To ensure accurate comparison, it's essential that all selected images have the same AOI names defined.
To facilitate this, you can easily copy AOIs from one image and paste them onto others.
Once pasted, simply adjust each AOI’s position and size to ensure they align accurately with the intended elements in each design.
This step is key for producing reliable and meaningful comparisons.

This comparison report is particularly valuable when evaluating different variants of packaging, web layouts, or ad visual designs.
By comparing these metrics across versions, you gain insights into which design elements capture attention most effectively.

The report can be easily copied to the clipboard or downloaded as a CSV file, providing a convenient way to integrate insights into your workflow.
