One of our partners,Seaway Logistics - ืืจื ืืื ืืืืืกืืืงื, a global freight forwarder, faced a key challenge: processing large volumes of commercial invoices and packing lists for international shipments.
These documents arrived as PDFs from multiple trade platforms, each with its own format, making manual processing slow, error-prone, and hard to scale.
We started with commercial invoices and quickly expanded to packing lists and other customs documents. Hereโs how:
โณ Integrated DOConvert via API into Seawayโs trade platforms with no technical overhead (live from day one)
โณ Automated ingestion and extraction of HS codes, shipment values, importer/exporter details, and Incoterms
โณ Delivered structured data into Seawayโs customs system in real time for faster, more accurate filings
โณ Enabled work with larger clients by handling documents with over 1,000 line items, something manual processes couldnโt support
A typical employee can manually handle around 200 to 400 customs cases per month, depending on volume and complexity.
DOConvert now processes over 2,000 customs cases and more than 22,000 document lines each month, without increasing operational overhead.
If youโve dealt with customs files full of mismatched formats, endless PDFs, or hundreds of messy line items, you know how painful this can get.
Weโre always happy to share what weโve learned from teams like Seaway and hear how others are solving similar challenges.
