The Cyber Risk & Insurance Innovation Europe 2025 conference brought Tim Brown and Ni**od Kozlovski together on one stage to share their insights on the essential connection between cybersecurity and insurance, aiming to highlight one of the most dramatic moments in the lives of companies and their insurers - the cyber crisis.

As highlighted in a recent article with them at Intelligent Insurer, there’s a critical need for insurance brokers to adapt their cyber insurance offerings and elevate their value proposition by offering advanced tools for, and becoming more active players in, cyber crisis readiness, resilience, and management.

“The cyber insurance sector is projected to grow from $15B in ‘24 to nearly $50B by 2030 according to Howden, a global insurance group, underscoring the potential for insurers who can up their value proposition,” says Ni**od Kozlovski, Cytactic CEO and Founder. SolarWinds’ Tim Brown, who managed the infamous SUNBURST attack, adds: “The insurer must work closely with clients to assess their risk and recommend ways to mitigate it. Encouraging proactive cybersecurity measures, like regular assessments and incident response plans, should also be a key component of policies.”

The Cyber-Insurance Industry is Turbulent

A day after launching our collaboration with Howden, we are vigorously moving on to our next big initiative – the Cyber Risk & Insurance Innovation Conference in London.

It’s been an action-packed two days. We kicked off the conference with a fascinating fireside chat featuring Ni**od Koslovski, founder and CEO of Cytactic, and Tim Brown, CISO of SolarWind and our Advisory Board member. We followed with also presented a simulation that vividly illustrated a cyber crisis scenario, drawing a full house. Many key decision-makers stopped by our booth, and it was clear to everyone: We all must act now and be ready for a cyber crisis, rather than waiting until the last minute.
