What if your employees could practice spotting phishing attacks before attackers tested them for real?

That's one of the biggest benefits of phishing simulation.

It helps organizations:

✓ Test employee awareness
✓ Identify risky behaviors
✓ Build better phishing detection habits
✓ Measure security awareness
✓ Strengthen the human layer of security
Security awareness shouldn't be a once-a-year checkbox.

It should be practiced.

Watch the video to see why phishing
simulations matter.

MFA was there.

The attacker still got close.

Reddit had security controls in place.

But in February 2023, attackers didn't try to “break” MFA.

They targeted the person using it.

A convincing phishing campaign led an employee toward a fake Reddit intranet gateway designed to capture credentials and second-factor tokens.

One employee's credentials were compromised.

And suddenly, the attacker had access to parts of Reddit's internal environment.

That's the uncomfortable truth about modern phishing:

You don't always have to defeat the security control.

Sometimes, you just have to convince the human to hand it over.

The employee eventually reported the incident, and Reddit's security team responded.

But here's the question:

Would your employees recognize the trap before they entered their credentials?

MFA is important.

But MFA + an unprepared human is not the same as MFA + a trained human.

That's why security awareness shouldn't be a yearly checkbox.

Train the human layer. Build your human firewall.

Would you have spotted the fake?

Comment “YES” or “NOT SURE.”

Your strongest security layer can also be your weakest.

A sophisticated attack doesn’t always start with sophisticated hacking.

Sometimes, it starts with:

→ A convincing message
→ A trusted identity
→ A moment of pressure
→ One employee making the wrong decision

The Snapchat breach is another reminder that human behaviour remains a critical cybersecurity risk.

You can have firewalls, MFA, endpoint protection and monitoring in place.

But what happens when an employee receives a phishing attempt that looks completely legitimate?

That’s where security awareness needs to go beyond annual training.

Phishmake helps organizations simulate real-world phishing attacks, identify human vulnerabilities, and build a stronger human firewall.

Don’t wait for a real attack to find out how your employees respond.

Test your human firewall before attackers do.

One employee account.

That's all it reportedly took to trigger one of India's biggest banking cybersecurity incidents of 2026.

Bank of Baroda has confirmed that the breach originated from a compromised employee email account while stating that its core banking systems were not affected.

The investigation is still underway, and many technical details remain unconfirmed.

But one lesson is already difficult to ignore:

Cybersecurity doesn't always fail because attackers are smarter.

Sometimes it fails because a single trusted account is compromised.

Every organization invests in technology.

The question is:

Are we investing enough in the people who use it every day?

What's your opinion?

Attackers train every day.

New phishing tactics.
New AI tools.
New ways to exploit human trust.

But most employees?

They only "train" once a year.

That's the gap attackers count on.

Cybersecurity isn't just about smarter technology anymore.

It's about building smarter habits.

Because when a phishing email arrives, no one has time to open last year's training deck.

They react.

The question is...

What will they react with? Panic or practice?

💬 How often does your organization conduct phishing simulations?

28/07/2026

One employee account.

That's all it reportedly took to expose one of India's largest public sector banks.

Nearly 1 TB of data is claimed to have surfaced online.

But here's the question everyone should be asking...

How does a single compromised email account turn into a breach of this scale?

Was it phishing?
A weak password?
Credential reuse?
An infostealer?
Or something else entirely?

The investigation is still ongoing, and many questions remain unanswered.

But one fact has already been confirmed:

The breach began with a compromised employee email account.

Sometimes, attackers don't break through your firewall.

They log in through your people.

Watch till the end.

Because the next headline shouldn't be your company.

Based on publicly available information as of the date of posting. Official investigations are ongoing, and findings may evolve.

You enabled MFA.

You thought you were safe.

So did thousands of other victims.

The problem isn't always your password.

Sometimes, attackers steal the session after you log in.

Watch till the end to see how an AiTM attack bypasses MFA.

Most cyberattacks don't begin with malware.

They begin with a moment.

A moment of trust.

A moment of distraction.

A moment of urgency.

Attackers spend months crafting that one moment.

Organizations often spend only an hour a year preparing for it.
That gap is where breaches happen.

This carousel explores five shifts in thinking that can transform employees from potential targets into your strongest line of defense.

Because the future of cybersecurity isn't just smarter technology.

It's smarter people.

You still think phishing is just an email?

That's exactly what attackers want.

Today, phishing can arrive as:

A WhatsApp message.

A LinkedIn connection request.

A fake QR code.

An SMS from your "bank."

A Team or Slack message.

Even a voice call generated by AI.

The goal hasn't changed.

To make someone trust... and click.

That's why cybersecurity isn't just about securing devices anymore.

It's about preparing people to recognize threats, wherever they appear.

Because phishing has evolved.

The hacker in this post isn't scary.

The email is.

Because that's exactly how phishing works.

No hoodies.
No Hollywood hacking.
No lines of green code.

Just an email that looks real enough for someone to trust it.

And once they click...

The attacker is already inside.

Ask yourself one question:

Would your employees know it's fake?

If you're not sure, that's the risk.
