A state government procurement body. ₹2,800 crore in annual tender value. And a five-person committee reading 22 vendor bids per tender by hand each a differently formatted PDF running up to 180 pages.

That was the reality before we built TenderIQ.

It's a custom AI procurement intelligence platform that does three things: reads the tender and builds the evaluation rubric, parses and scores every vendor bid against that rubric, and tracks vendor behaviour across every tender to surface risks a single evaluation would never catch.

Six months into production:

Evaluation time went from 18–24 days to 4. ₹4.2 crore in overpriced bids was identified and renegotiated or rejected. Three cartel-like bidding patterns surfaced for investigation. Scoring consistency between officers rose from 61% to 94%. And zero evaluation decisions were successfully challenged in audit, because every one had a documented rationale behind it.

The officers still make the calls. TenderIQ just makes sure they're deciding with complete information instead of partial information assembled manually under a deadline.

Most companies still think of AI as a chatbot bolted onto a website. That's not where the real shift is happening.
