CES 2022 - the largest consumer electronic convention in the world is happening this week in Vegas. Despite most companies attending only virtually, the show still packed loads of product announcements from Sony, AMD, Nvidia, Intel, Samsung, LG and more.
Sony is getting into the electric car business with what they are calling Sony Mobility. Their launch lineup includes Vision-S sedan and Vision-S 02 SUV.
AMD launched their next-generation processors for laptops. It promises to deliver 1.2x CPU performance and 2x GPU performance with just 35W power making it last for up to 24 hours on a single charge.
Nvidia launched 3090TI, 3080TI, 3070TI and a new class of high frame rate displays specifically aimed at esports. Intel announced new variations of 12th gen CPUs named KS series, H series (for gaming laptops) and P series (for thin and light laptops).
Samsung, LG and Sony announced tons of new displays with different variations of OLED for improved colour accuracy, brightness and refresh rates. They also now support HDMI 2.1 across all ports, making it compatible with new-gen gaming consoles.
