🏢 Less than 10 employees? PoSH still matters.

🤔 Many organisations assume PoSH only becomes relevant once they reach a certain team size.

👥 In reality, fostering a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace is important from the very beginning. Putting the right measures in place early helps build employee trust, encourages open communication, and creates a stronger workplace culture as your organisation grows.

🧠📅 May is Mental Health Awareness Month. A reminder that mental health at work deserves more than a passing conversation.

💬 Struggles at work don’t always look obvious.

Sometimes, they look like silence in meetings. Delayed replies. Withdrawal. Overworking. “I’m fine.”

Support must to go beyond awareness posts and wellness check-ins.

Safer workplaces are built through:

✔️ People-centric systems

✔️ Accessible grievance redressal mechanisms

✔️ Anonymous feedback spaces

✔️ Mental health support for employees

✔️ Cultures where asking for help feels safe

🌱 Because support shouldn’t begin only once someone reaches a breaking point.

📊 What does justice really look like in India today?

The India Justice Report 2025 gives us a reality check. Showing us where systems are improving, and where they’re falling short.

From overburdened courts to overcrowded prisons and under-resourced policing; the gaps are clear.

But so is the path forward:

💡 Invest in systems

💡 Strengthen capacity

💡 Build inclusive institutions

Because justice isn’t just about laws; it’s about access.

✨🏢 Work shouldn’t come at the cost of safety, dignity, or wellbeing.

🌍 This Labour Day , we’re looking beyond celebration to what workers actually experience every day: burnout, insecurity, invisible labour, and systems that don’t always protect.

These aren’t individual struggles. They’re workplace design choices.

🧩👉🏽 Swipe through for what employers can do from building stability and preventing burnout to creating safer, more accountable systems.

⚖️🧠 What does “freezing” really mean in moments of harm?

Tonic immobility, or the freeze response, is not a choice it is a neurobiological survival response. When faced with overwhelming threat, the brain can override the body’s ability to move, speak, or resist.

🚫 This has critical implications for how we understand consent, accountability, and survivor responses.

As Dr. Jim Hopper writes, “None of these responses – in women or men – entails consent or cowardice… They are responses we should expect from brains dominated by the circuitry of fear.”

💬 Responses to harm are shaped by survival, not by intent or strength and reframing these narratives is essential to building trauma informed, survivor-centred workplaces and systems.

🌍✨ Decolonizing language isn’t just about words it’s about power.

🗣️ The way we speak shapes how we understand the world, whose voices are centered, and whose experiences are erased.

✊🏽 This toolkit reminds us that language is a tool for liberation one that can challenge dominant narratives, reclaim identities, and build more inclusive futures.

🏢 For organisations, this goes beyond communication it’s about culture.
💬 It’s about choosing language that is intentional, inclusive, and rooted in justice.

April is observed as Child Sexual Abuse Awareness Month, a reminder that prevention, response, and care must go hand in hand. 💙

Here are five organisations in India doing critical work in this space:
✨ Safe Schools – building safer learning environments through partnerships with educators and communities
✨ Tulir CPHCSA – working on prevention, healing, and child protection systems across India
✨ ARPAN – empowering children and adults through personal safety education and prevention programs
✨ Circles of Safety Education Pvt. Ltd. – supporting survivors of child sexual abuse through healing and advocacy
✨ Enfold– strengthening child protection systems through training, research, and policy work

From awareness and prevention to case handling and survivor support their work reminds us that safeguarding is collective work.

Let’s move beyond silence, and towards safety, accountability, and care. 💙
