Bridging the Gap Between Academia and the Semiconductor Industry
One of the biggest challenges in engineering education today is that many students graduate with theoretical knowledge but limited exposure to industry practices. At Silicic Innova Technologies, our mission is to change this by building engineers who are truly industry-ready.
We are delighted to partner with RVS Technical Campus RVETGI Coimbatore - Info mail RVS College of Engineering and Technology Institute of Technology, Coimbatore, through a MoU to launch the OneDropSemicon โ Semicon Kaizen Program.
This is not a short-term training program. It is a continuous mentorship initiative that begins from the 3rd semester and continues until graduationโand beyond, until each student secures a career in VLSI or Embedded Systems.
Our objective is to bridge the gap between academia and industry through structured learning, hands-on engineering, continuous assessments, industry-standard projects, and dedicated career mentoring.

Through the OneDropSemicon platform, students will receive continuous learning support, technical assessments, guided projects, portfolio development, interview preparation, and placement assistanceโensuring they are ready for careers in the semiconductor industry.
The collaboration will also strengthen the institution's R&D ecosystem, enabling faculty and students to work on industry-driven research in VLSI, Embedded Systems, Hardware Accelerators, Physical AI, semiconductor IP development, publications, patents, and technology innovation.
Following the MoU signing, I had the privilege of delivering a seminar on "Recent Trends in VLSI Design โ The Future Powered by Physical AI." It was inspiring to interact with enthusiastic students and faculty while discussing the future of semiconductor technologies, AI hardware, and next-generation computing.
India's semiconductor ecosystem needs engineers who can contribute from day one. Achieving this requires more than classroom teaching,it requires continuous mentoring, practical engineering experience, industry collaboration, and a clear career roadmap.
I sincerely thank the Management, Principal, Head of the Department, faculty members, and students of RVS Institute of Technology for their trust and partnership. We look forward to creating a strong pipeline of industry-ready semiconductor engineers together.
