We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Data Platform Engineer to lead the migration of enterprise data platforms from Snowflake to Microsoft Fabric. The ideal candidate should have deep expertise in modern data architectures, cloud-based data platforms, and large-scale migration initiatives. You will be responsible for designing the target Fabric architecture, rebuilding data pipelines, migrating and validating data assets, and ensuring a seamless cutover with minimal business disruption. This role offers an opportunity to work closely with engineering, analytics, BI, and business stakeholders while driving a strategic data modernization program and mentoring other engineers throughout the migration journey.

Role & responsibilities:

Plan & design the migration: inventory Snowflake assets, define Fabric target architecture (OneLake, Lakehouse/Warehouse, Data Factory, workspaces).
Migrate data & pipelines: rebuild ETL/ELT, handle backfill and incremental/CDC loads, refactor Snowflake SQL/tasks into Fabric-native patterns.
Ensure quality & cutover: reconciliation (row counts, metrics, business rules), phased migration waves, parallel run, rollback plans.
Security & governance: move Snowflake RBAC to Entra ID + Fabric permissions; implement lineage/classification (e.g. Purview).
Lead stakeholders: work with engineering, analytics, BI, and business teams; mentor engineers; report progress and risks.

Preferred candidate profile

8+ years in data engineering; 3+ years senior/lead.
Deep Snowflake and hands-on Microsoft Fabric (Data Factory, Lakehouse/Warehouse, OneLake, Notebooks).
Proven large-scale migration experience (not greenfield only).
Strong SQL (Snowflake + T-SQL), CI/CD, data modeling, reconciliation, and stakeholder communication.

Roles and Responsibilities

Build LLM-based applications with RAG and Agents.

Develop and deploy AI agents for task automation, conversational AI, and knowledge management.

Implement best practices for model governance, monitoring, and performance optimization.

Ensure AI solutions follow security, compliance, and responsible AI guidelines.

Foster a culture of technical excellence, innovation, and continuous learning.

Lead and Mentor Junior Engineers in delivering AI Solutions.

Experience

Minimum 5 years of overall experience with at least 1 year in LLM and generative AI projects or has completed a Certification/ Course in AI/ML.

Hands-on expertise in building RAG pipelines and integrating vector databases
Experience developing AI agents using any agent frameworks is good to have
Good Python programming skills.

Understanding prompt engineering and embedding.

Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Experience with Client and Stakeholder engagement.
