📰 During the International Police Expo 2026, NDTV journalist Ramarko Sengupta interviewed Tarun Wig, Co-founder & CEO of Innefu Labs, on how AI is transforming modern law enforcement. The interview was later featured by NDTV in the article "How Law Enforcement Is Using AI To Solve Crimes".

Sharing his perspective, Tarun Wig highlighted that the biggest challenge in policing today is scale. With a population of over 2 crore people and a limited police force, manual investigations alone cannot keep pace with modern crime. AI changes that by narrowing millions of potential leads to a focused pool of repeat offenders, enabling investigators to spend their time where it matters most.

He also explained how AI is supporting investigators beyond suspect identification. From guiding officers through standard investigative procedures to organising evidence and strengthening charge sheets, AI is helping make investigations faster, more structured, and more effective. The same intelligence-driven approach is also delivering impact in financial investigations, with Innefu's AI platforms helping uncover fraudulent GST claims worth nearly ₹5,700 crore.

As crime grows more complex and data-driven, the future of policing will not depend on replacing investigators with AI but on empowering them with intelligence that helps them solve cases faster and smarter.
