๐ก AI is everywhere โ but is it always needed?
These days, every software provider seems to be adding AI features โ whether theyโre really needed or not. Customers are also asking for AI, sometimes just because itโs the trend.
It almost feels like AI has become a checkbox: โIf you want to stay in tech, you must have AI.โ
At Smaac, we take a different approach. Weโve integrated AI into our ERP, but only where it actually solves a problem:
1. Voice Notes โ Capture meeting or site details in any language, instantly get them translated into English.
2. Ask AI โ Chat with your ERP to get job status, production updates, and more.
3. AI Help Messages โ Get clear, detailed error explanations with self-help guidance.
Sometimes we do wonder ๐ถ๐ณ ๐๐ฒโ๐ฟ๐ฒ ๐ณ๐ฎ๐น๐น๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ฏ๐ฒ๐ต๐ถ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ถ๐ป ๐๐ต๐ฒ โ๐๐ ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ฒโ โ but adding flashy features with no real value doesnโt help anyone.
In fact, we are exploring more AI capabilities like assisted data entry and predictive insights โ but only when they truly improve plant operations.
Our focus remains the same: solving real problems for the steel and PEB industry.
Like recently, we launched a ๐๐ข๐ ๐ฅ๐ฒ๐๐ถ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป ๐ง๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ฐ๐ธ๐ถ๐ป๐ด ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฎ๐๐๐ฟ๐ฒ (check image) that shows exactly what changed in a job โ with old vs. new values right in the report.
No more digging through change logs โ just hover, check, and plan the next steps. (No AI needed ๐ฌ)
Our goal is to provide value that is practical, impactful, and prioritizes the customer. A approach that has always worked for us.
