Tamenglong Jal Jeevan Mission Claim Draws Attention

Congress youth leader Ningthoujam Popilal Singh has raised questions regarding the implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) in Tamenglong HQ, making a claim about water pipes being supplied through a “Bluetooth connection.”

The statement comes amid wider concerns and allegations surrounding the implementation of JJM projects in Manipur. Previous reporting has documented questions over reported household connections, pipelines and the actual availability of functional tap-water supply in several areas.

The specific “Bluetooth connection” remark should be understood as Popilal Singh’s allegation/statement, rather than an independently verified fact. I could not find a reliable source independently confirming that the water pipes in Tamenglong were actually supplied through a Bluetooth connection.

The issue raises questions about the ground-level implementation of the Jal Jeevan Mission and whether reported infrastructure and connections are functioning as intended.

Popilal Singh’s statement:
“Tamenglong HQ da BJP amadi NPP na Jal Jeevan gi esing pipe samdana Bluetooth connection dagi esing piramle hairi.”
