A few days ago, I discovered something inside Marg that genuinely surprised me.

For years, 3,000+ Doctors have already been using Marg ERP’s OPD platform. But we never seriously focused on Doctors as a separate market.

Then came the bigger surprise—Marg has nearly 16 lakh Doctor records in its database.

When I started reviewing our OPD platform in detail, I realised that much of what an Individual Doctor or Small Clinic needs is already there—Doctor Management, Appointments, Patient Records, Consultation, Symptoms, Prescription, Medicine-wise Dose/Remarks and Reports.

It made me ask one question:

How did we miss such a large opportunity for so many years?

Our objective is not to compete with complex software built for large Hospitals.

Our focus will be Individual Doctors & Small Clinics who need an affordable, simple and practical system to manage their daily practice.

Patient → Appointment → Consultation → Prescription → Clinical Record

And here Marg has another major advantage.

Many Doctors also maintain a small medicine stock at their clinics. Marg can bring together:

Prescription → Medicine Dispensing → Batch & Expiry → Stock → Purchase → Billing → Accounts

So the Doctor doesn't need separate systems for clinic management and medicine management.

But I believe the real opportunity is even bigger.

If the Doctor does not maintain medicines, then with the patient's choice and consent, the prescription can digitally reach a nearby connected Chemist, where medicine availability can be checked and the bill prepared.
