How Much SSD Do You Need In 2026? 20 PC Games In GB, 512GB vs 1TB vs 2TB NVMe SSD

I added up the install sizes of 20 PC games. 2,015 GB. That's more than a 2TB SSD holds.

Biggest first. Forza Horizon 6 wants 167 GB. Red Dead Redemption 2 and Baldur's Gate 3 want 150 each, Marvel's Spider-Man 2 140, Black Myth: Wukong 130 and Call of Duty: Warzone 125.

Then Assassin's Creed Shadows 115, Forza Horizon 5 110, GTA V Enhanced 105 and EA Sports FC 26 an even 100. Delta Force is 88, Counter-Strike 2 and Hogwarts Legacy 85 each, Battlefield 6 80, Apex Legends 75.

Even the small ones aren't that small. Cyberpunk 2077 and Marvel Rivals are 70 each, Elden Ring and Dota 2 are 60, and PUBG is the lightest here at 50.

And a 2TB SSD doesn't give you 2,000 GB. Windows shows it as 1,863 GB, a 1TB as 931 and a 512GB as 477, cause drive makers count a GB as a thousand million bytes and Windows doesn't.

So if you install from the top of this list, a 512GB NVMe is full after 3 games, a 1TB after 6 and a 2TB after 17. The last 3 don't go in at all, and that's before Windows takes its own space.

I left Modern Warfare 4 off cause it may share files with Warzone inside the Call of Duty app, and I didn't want to count the same GB twice. Sizes are as of 16 Oct 2026, and they move with updates.

When Will RAM Prices Drop? Same Gaming PC Build Price In India, October 2025 vs October 2026

I priced the same gaming PC twice. October 2025, ₹91,326. October 2026, ₹1,74,532.

Same seven parts, same models both times. A Ryzen 5 7600, a B650 board, 32GB of DDR5-6000 RAM, an RTX 5060 8GB, a 1TB Gen4 NVMe SSD, a 650W Bronze power supply and a micro-ATX case.

The biggest jump is the 32GB DDR5 RAM. It was ₹11,800 last October. Today it's ₹60,299, more than five times as much.

The RTX 5060 went from ₹32,009 to ₹54,599, and the 1TB SSD from ₹6,150 to ₹16,395.

The other four barely moved. The Ryzen 5 7600 went from ₹18,637 to ₹19,800, the B650 board from ₹12,881 to ₹13,396 and the power supply from ₹4,850 to ₹5,044. The case didn't move at all, ₹4,999 both times.

Add it all up and the same PC costs ₹83,206 more than it did a year ago. That's nearly twice the price.

So when will RAM prices drop? I can't tell you, and anyone giving you a date is guessing. What I can show you is what one year did to one PC.

These are shop prices for the PC alone, no monitor and no Windows. I kept the Ryzen 5 7600 cause its cooler comes in the box, so these seven parts really are the whole PC.

Did you buy your PC before last October? What did you pay for the RAM in it?

Integrated Graphics vs Dedicated Graphics 2026: Radeon 780M, Iris Xe, Vega 7 Matched To A Graphics Card India

No graphics card in your PC or laptop? Your processor still has one built in, and it matches an old card.

I put 21 built-in graphics chips next to the desktop card each one matches. Both sides ran the same two benchmarks. The card scores are game speed at 1080p, with the RX 7600 at 100.

At the top, the Radeon 8060S in the Ryzen AI Max+ 395 lands next to an RTX 2080, roughly where a PS5 sits. The Arc B390 in the Core Ultra X7 358H matches a GTX 1660 Ti.

The Arc 140V, the Arc 140T, the Arc graphics in a Core Ultra 7 155H, the Radeon 890M and the 880M all land at a GTX 1650.

The Radeon 780M, in the Ryzen 7 8700G and laptops like the 7840HS, sits between a GTX 1050 Ti and a GTX 1650, closer to the 1050 Ti. The 860M, the 760M in a Ryzen 5 8600G and the 680M match a GTX 1050 Ti.

Iris Xe on a Core i7 laptop, the Radeon 740M in a Ryzen 5 8500G, the 660M and the graphics in a Core Ultra 5 125U land between a GT 1030 and a GTX 1050 Ti. A desktop Ryzen 7 5700G is just above a GT 1030.

Iris Xe on a Core i5 laptop, Vega 8 laptops and the Vega 7 in a Ryzen 5 5600G or 5600GT come out at about a GT 1030. That Vega 7 row comes from laptops cause I couldn't find a desktop 5600G result. The one desktop 5700G I found scored about 40% above a GT 1030, so a desktop 5600G probably sits a bit higher than the poster says.

Under a GT 1030 you'll find Intel UHD 770 (Core i5-13500), the 2-core Radeon in a Ryzen 5 7600, and the Radeon 610M in a Ryzen 5 7520U at about half of one.

The thing that moves all of this is RAM. Built-in graphics use your system RAM, and one stick instead of two can make them almost 40% slower. The same Radeon 780M scored anywhere from 1,496 to 3,196 in one benchmark across 81 results. Most of these numbers come from laptops, and a benchmark isn't a game, so read every match as roughly where you land.

Laptop GPU vs Desktop GPU 2026 India: RTX 5060, 4060, 5070 And 14 More Laptop Chips Matched To Desktop Cards

Your laptop's RTX 5070 isn't a desktop 5070. It's closer to a desktop RTX 4060 Ti.

I put 17 laptop graphics chips beside the desktop card each one scores closest to in the same benchmark, using the middle score of everyone who has run that chip. The number on the right is that desktop card's speed in games, with the RX 7600 at 100.

At the top, the 5090 laptop plays games about like a desktop RTX 4070 Ti SUPER (214), the 4090 laptop lands near a 4070 Ti (196), the 5080 laptop near an RTX 5070 (194), the 5070 Ti laptop near a 4070 (174) and the 4080 laptop near a 3080 (170).

The 5070 laptop and the old 3080 Ti laptop both land on a desktop RTX 4060 Ti (133). The 4070, 5060, 3080 and 3070 Ti laptops all come out near an RTX 3060 Ti (118).

The 4060 laptop (next to a desktop 4060, 106) and the 3070 laptop (next to an RTX 5050, 103) are about where a PS5 sits.

Below that, the 5050, 3060 and 4050 laptops all sit near a desktop RTX 3060 (91), and the 6GB 3050 laptop came in under every desktop RTX card on the list.

Now the watts. NVIDIA lets each laptop maker set the power, so one RTX 4060 laptop can run at 35W and another at 115W. These scores are the middle of all of them, so a high-watt laptop sits above its twin and a thin one below it. Check your laptop's watts before you compare.

I left off the 4GB chips cause this test needs 6GB of graphics memory, so their scores say nothing about how they game.

Which laptop graphics chip do you have, and how many watts is it set to?

PS5 Graphics Card 2026 India — 71 Desktop Graphics Cards Ranked Against A PS5, RTX 5090 To GTX 1650

Where's your card? Find it, then see which side of the PS5 it sits on.

I put 71 desktop graphics cards on one ladder, fastest first, by their speed in games. The RX 7600 scores 100 and every other card is measured against it.

The PS5 doesn't have a number on that list, so I didn't make one up. Tested against PC cards at the same settings, it lands somewhere between an RTX 2070 SUPER and an RTX 4060. That's the band I drew, 95 to 106. The RX 7600, RX 6650 XT, Arc B580 and RTX 5050 sit inside it too.

Above the band is everything from the RTX 2080 SUPER (107) up to the RTX 5090 (434). Below it you'll find the RTX 3060 12GB at 91, the RTX 3050 at 56 and the GTX 1650 at 37, which a lot of you still run.

Two things before you compare yours. Cards from the RTX 3080 up were tested at 4K and the rest at 1080p, cause that's how this list is built. And a PS5 swings a lot from game to game, so think of the band as roughly where it lands.

Tomorrow: your laptop's card beside the desktop card it really matches.

Which side of the PS5 band is your card on, and which card is it?

What PC Can I Build For My Budget In India? ₹30,000 To ₹2.7 Lakh, October 2026: RTX 5060, RTX 5070, RX 7600

What does your PC budget build right now? I pulled seven answers out of my own quotations.

All seven are machines I quoted in September and October, at the price on the quotation. That price is for the PC only. Monitor, keyboard and UPS are not in it.

Two of them have no graphics card and run on the graphics inside the processor. The ₹30,000 one is a Ryzen 5 3400G with 8GB of memory and a 256GB SSD. The ₹53,000 one is a Ryzen 5 5600GT with 16GB and a 512GB SSD.

Three are for 1080p gaming. At ₹92,500 you get an RX 7600 8GB with a Ryzen 5 5600. At ₹1,39,000 it's an RTX 5060 8GB with a Ryzen 5 7500F and DDR5 memory. At ₹1,60,500 it's an RX 9060 XT 16GB with a Core Ultra 5 245K and a 1TB SSD. That card can do 1440p in older games, but TechPowerUp's review calls it a 1080p card, so I left it here.

The last two are for 1440p gaming and both carry an RTX 5070 12GB. ₹1,98,500 pairs it with a Ryzen 5 9600X and 16GB of memory. ₹2,71,000 pairs it with a Ryzen 7 9800X3D and 32GB.

The reel names one machine from each band. The bars at the bottom are all seven prices.

Which band does your budget fall in? Tell me the amount in the comments.

NVIDIA x60 Graphics Cards 2012 To 2025: GTX 660, GTX 1060, RTX 3060, RTX 5060 Price And Speed

Was your first graphics card an x60? It's probably on this list.

I lined up twelve of NVIDIA's x60 cards by launch date. Each one has its memory, its US launch price in dollars, and how fast an RTX 5060 is next to it.

It starts with three 2GB cards. The GTX 660 came out in 2012 at $229, the GTX 760 in 2013 at $249 and the GTX 960 in 2015 at $199. An RTX 5060 is 6.4, 5.6 and 4.8 times as fast as those.

2016 was the GTX 1060. The 6GB one launched at $249 and the 3GB one at $199. The RTX 5060 is 2.8 times the first and 3.0 times the second.

2019 had four. The RTX 2060 came first at $349 and it's the quickest of them, the 5060 is only 1.8 times it. After it came the GTX 1660 Ti at $279, the GTX 1660 at $219 and the GTX 1660 SUPER at $229. All of them 6GB, and the 5060 is 2.2 to 2.4 times as fast.

The RTX 3060 in 2021 is the one with 12GB, at $329. The RTX 4060 in 2023 went back to 8GB at $299, and the RTX 5060 in 2025 kept the 8GB and the $299. It's 1.4 times a 3060 and 1.2 times a 4060.

So the RTX 5060 launched $70 above the GTX 660, and it's 6.4 times as fast. I used the 5060 as the yardstick cause it's the newest x60 you can buy.

Speed is measured in games at 1080p.

Most Used Graphics Cards On Steam, September 2026: RTX 5070, RTX 5060, RTX 4060 And The Rest Of The Top 10

Is your graphics card in the top 10?

Steam asks its users every month what is inside their PC. In the September 2026 survey the RTX 5070 is first with 6.15% of all Steam users. The RTX 5060 is second on 4.40% and the RTX 5060 Ti third on 4.06%.

After them it goes RTX 4060 3.89%, RTX 3060 3.66%, the RTX 4060 Laptop GPU 3.50%, RTX 3050 2.90%, RTX 4060 Ti 2.85%, the RTX 5060 Laptop GPU 2.45% and the GTX 1650 on 2.19%. That last graphics card came out in 2019 and it is still here.

One caution. In August the RTX 3060 was first and the 5070 sat at 3.77%. Going to 6.15% in a single month is the kind of swing Steam's survey throws up now and then, so I'd wait for the October numbers before calling it settled.

The list under the chart is the number 1 card in every September survey. GTX 970 in 2016. Then the GTX 1060 six years running, 2017 to 2022. RTX 3060 in 2023 and 2024. Last year it was a laptop chip, the RTX 4060 Laptop GPU.

Laptop cards and built-in graphics are their own entries on Steam's list, so I left them where Steam puts them. Just outside the ten are the RTX 4070 on 2.11%, the RTX 3060 Ti on 2.08% and the RTX 5080 on 1.98%.

GTA 6 on PC 2026: no PC date announced. How long GTA 5, GTA 4 and Red Dead took to reach PC

Waiting for GTA 6 on PC? Here's how long PC players waited for four Rockstar games before it.

GTA 6 comes out on 19 November 2026 on PS5 and Xbox Series X|S. No PC date has been announced. I'm not going to guess one, I only looked at what happened before.

GTA 4 came to consoles on 29 April 2008 and to PC on 2 December 2008. That's 7 months.

Red Dead Redemption 2 took 12 months, 26 October 2018 on consoles and 5 November 2019 on PC.

GTA 5 took 19 months. Consoles got it on 17 September 2013 and PC on 14 April 2015.

And the first Red Dead Redemption? Consoles on 18 May 2010, PC on 29 October 2024. That's 14 years and 5 months.

So on this list the shortest wait for PC was 7 months and the longest was over 14 years.

Will you wait for GTA 6 on PC, or buy a console for it?

Graphics Card Prices In India, October 2026: RTX 5050, 5060, 5060 Ti, 5070, 5080 And RX 7600, 9060 XT, 9070 XT Price List

Find your graphics card's price. Two of these thirteen sit only ₹500 apart.

On 8 October 2026 I went through 13 graphics cards and noted the cheapest new one I could find in stock for each, whatever the brand.

The RTX 3050 6GB opens the list at ₹29,754. The RX 7600 is ₹38,699.

Then the close pair. The RTX 5050 is ₹46,299 and the RX 9060 XT 8GB is ₹46,799, so ₹500 is all that separates them.

The RTX 5060 is ₹52,999 and the RTX 5060 Ti 8GB is ₹55,849. Three days earlier I had those two at the same price. The RX 9060 XT 16GB is ₹57,999.

The RX 9070 is ₹77,499. The RTX 5060 Ti 16GB is ₹84,999, which now puts it ₹3,200 under the RX 9070 XT at ₹88,199. The RTX 5070 is ₹98,499.

Only two cross a lakh. The RTX 5070 Ti is ₹1,47,499 and the RTX 5080 is ₹1,84,999.

All of these were read on 8 Oct 2026. Seven of the thirteen had moved since 5 October, so they won't stay put for long.
