Most employees donโ€™t know this:

A company cannot force you to continue working against your will.

If you decide to resign, the safest approach is always:
โœ” Send a proper resignation email
โœ” Clearly mention your last working day
โœ” Keep written proof of communication

There is a huge difference between โ€œserving noticeโ€ and โ€œforced employment.โ€

Many companies try to pressure employees using:
โ€ข Experience letters
โ€ข Full & Final settlement delays
โ€ข PF clearance
โ€ข Relieving letters
โ€ข Attendance manipulation
โ€ข Threats of โ€œabscondingโ€ status

But legally, no company owns an employee.

Yes, companies can ask you to serve a notice period as per your contract.
But they cannot physically compel you to continue working if youโ€™ve officially resigned.

Employees often fear:
โ€œWhat if they donโ€™t give my experience letter?โ€
โ€œWhat if they hold my salary?โ€
โ€œWhat if PF gets delayed?โ€

Hereโ€™s the reality:
If a company delays your dues unnecessarily, employees also have legal rights regarding:
โ€ข Pending salary
โ€ข PF processing
โ€ข Gratuity
โ€ข Full & Final settlement
โ€ข Mental harassment claims in extreme cases

Usually, companies take around 30โ€“45 days for F&F settlement processing after exit.
But transparency and fair treatment are equally important.

Before resigning, always:

1. Read your employment contract carefully
2. Keep copies of all emails and salary slips
3. Resign professionally, not emotionally
4. Try to negotiate notice buyout if needed
5. Stay calm and document everything
