There are no winners or losers in a hackathon. There are only participants. In our experience we have found that students who keep taking part in hackathons have excellent programming skills. At an early age hackathon develop skills that are needed to build products. As a part of our industry-academic association we took part in evaluating teams who participated in Dwarkadas J. Sanghvi College of Engineering (DJSCE) internal hackathon. The selected teams will be participating in Smart India Hackathon (SIH) to be held in 4th and 5th April 2020. They will be presenting their products to various Ministries, Departments, Industries, PSUs and NGOs. Rajashree Phatak Rajadhyax and Siddhesh Wagle were invited as judges. We found all teams to be efficient in developing products in such a short period. We are confident that the selected teams have a chance to win the SIH. We thank DJSCE and all the faculties for giving us an opportunity to experience this amazing hackathon. Colleges like DJSCE and professors like Purva Raut are taking efforts to build the practical skills needed in students to face the industry.
