Say Hello to Edmundo šŸ‘‹

"I have been a proud member of Fujitsu for the last 20 years. Had the chance to work at multiple levels, from development to management, with the greatest people and learning with them from the most challenging projects."

Edmundo is a Service Delivery Manager taking good care of customers of the public sector in QuƩbec, Canada.

His strong technical knowledge combined with his interpersonal and management skills has allowed Edmundo to get an accurate understanding of our customers needs thus providing outstanding service delivery and commitment based on teamwork success.

"I'm a result focused team player and strongly believe our success is based on the sum of all the great talents we have at Fujitsu".

During his free time, he likes to spend some nights outdoors taking pictures of deep sky objects in space (astrophotography: nebulas, galaxies etc.) in addition to playing drums, racing, space simulators and robotics. As a technology passionate (without being too nerd), I keep looking for that "stunned" feeling discovering and building new tech."

From Los Angeles, United States, say hello to our Filipino-American colleague Enrique Vargas! Enrique works in the Sales team. Let’s look at his story:

ā€œI joined Fujitsu in March 2022, stepping into a newly created role to grow new enterprise-level accounts in Public Sector, Energy, and Utilities. I come from a different industry and work remotely, so I did not know what it would be like to get up-to-speedā€.

One thing that got Enrique’s attention was the mentality that he found ad Fujitsu that adds more value to the company and our employees.

ā€œI’m really impressed by the ā€œone-teamā€ mindset everybody in the organization exemplifies. Each individual I’ve encountered, no matter which department, seems to align with the same goal in mind – helping Fujitsu grow and bringing value to each client.ā€

Enrique says he’s not a health ju**ie but likes to work out for fun. ā€œI typically weightlift 4-5 days a week, and run 15-20 miles per week.ā€

Lastly, Enrique also shared his ā€œguilty pleasureā€ and favorite sport: ā€œcollecting and trading PokĆ©mon cards.and I love baseball (Go Dodgers!)ā€

Today we visit India and are in talks with Ronita SenGupta, Head - Corporate Communications (India GDC) & Global Change Lead GDCs (Project Harmony).

"Even as a child, every girl desires to be a queen just like she reads in stories and yearns to wear a crown. I am a trained Odissi (Indian dance form) and classical Jazz dancer, an Instagram Influencer (upwards of 25K followers) and also hold dual Master’s degree in HR and Labour Laws and Labour Welfare from a premier Law College of India. While working in the corporate world for over 15 years, my childhood dream had taken a backseat, but it was after I lost my mother in the year 2017, I decided it was time for me to evolve and do things, which are different and challenging. It was my time to shine and make my mother proud, and it worked like a charm.

I still remember the day I was crowned with the first runner-up title at Jeeo King and Queen's Mrs. India International 2019 contest where I also received the Mrs. Best Hair sub-title at the contest from Arbaaz Khan (Indian Actor, Producer, and Director) and some of the biggest names of the fashion industry.

My family attended the event and my whole team at Fujitsu was taking live updates from my peers who were present at the time of crowning. I am lucky to have worked with Fujitsu for having backed me to achieve my dream. My bosses and team members were extremely supportive of my schedules and got super happy with my success as well.

During the orientation, we were given a brief on how the pageant was going to be and it did not sound easy, even for someone who has been part of the glamour world. Over three months, we were intensely trained on our mental wellness and physical fitness. Every day till the finale was a trial and a phase of tough competition amongst more than 30 contestants from across the country for the coveted title.

The pageant experience taught me a lot of things which I can resonate with in my corporate work life as well. I got a big confident boost, taught me how to overcome my fears, took me to adventures that I never imagined I would even attempt, made me learn how to deal with ups as well as with the defeats. I would want to tell all the young women out there. ā€œBuild your own story, for you are a shining star.ā€

Happy International Sudoku Day šŸŽ‰

International Sudoku Day is celebrated annually on 9th September worldwide. And this is day which pays respect to this incredible and mindful game. The goal of the Sudoku game is to fill a 9Ɨ9 grid so that each column, row, and 3Ɨ3 sub-grid contains all the digits from 1 to 9.
So nine-nine is the natural choice for the day of celebration and hence this day makes sense to be observed on 9th September. It’s time to get your brain into gear because although it is a day of celebration but Sudoku is also a game of intelligence which requires your brain to be skillful.

Have you ever played?šŸ¤”

Say Hello to Asha! šŸ‘‹

• Work location (office and country) Sydney, Australia
• Job Position – Head of Corporate Legal, Fujitsu Oceania
• Hobbies, passions, free time : travel, hiking, camping, theatre

ā€œI joined Fujitsu Oceania’s legal and compliance team in March 2018 having spent 16 years in private practice in a law firm. After 18 months in the Sydney office, I was lucky enough to be sent on secondment to Fujitsu’s London office in Baker Street. Working for Fujitsu UK was a great opportunity to meet Fujitsu colleagues in the UK and Europe, and be exposed to different work and projects. I was the legal lead on a global project that took me to Istanbul, Prague and Budapest and I worked closely with colleagues from across the globe to ensure the success of the project. This gave me a much better understanding of the Fujitsu business on a global scale and emphasized to me the close working relationship of the legal team globally. I am now back in Australia heading up the Corporate legal team and have been working on a number of acquisitions of companies in Australia and New Zealand and Fujitsu Oceania’s first power purchase agreement for the purchase of renewable energy. I have found Fujitsu to be a great place to work with lovely people, a diverse and inclusive work culture and lots of interesting work opportunities.ā€
