Leadership is tested most when personal gain is within reach.
Today, we reflect on Prophet Hud (عليه السلام).
When he called his people toward what was right, he made one thing clear:
“I do not ask you for any reward.”
His leadership was not transactional. It was principled.
In organisations, motives matter. When leadership becomes driven by personal benefit, hidden agendas, or compensation alone, trust begins to erode. Teams quickly sense when decisions are self-serving rather than mission-driven.
Prophet Hud (عليه السلام) teaches us integrity in intent. True leadership is not about extracting value — it is about creating value. It is about serving a purpose greater than personal gain.
This Ramadan, let us examine our intentions.
Are we leading for titles and rewards — or for impact and responsibility?
Because sustainable leadership begins with sincerity.
