Sree Sankaracharya computer centre, which started its functioning in a modest way in 1995, has now become the biggest computer centre in India. Nearly 6000 students from various parts of India attend classes at Sree Sankaracharya Computer Centre located at Kannur. The institute has a total built-in area of about 30000sqft. Vehicles ply between the hostel and the campus for picking and dropping the inmates. The teachers and other faculty members at Sree Sankaracharya undergo periodical Refresher Courses and Enrichment Programmes to keep them selves abreast of others in the arena. A team of specialist cousellors provide timely counselling to the students, while the Nursing Care Centre within the campus provides instant medical care to the sick.
