Can't set your default printer? Don't worry — here are some quick fixes that often resolve the issue. 👇

🔹 1. Restart Print Spooler

Press Win + R
Type services.msc
Restart Print Spooler

🔹 2. Disable Automatic Printer Management

Go to Settings → Bluetooth & Devices → Printers & Scanners
Turn OFF "Let Windows manage my default printer"

🔹 3. Remove & Reinstall the Printer

Delete the printer
Restart your PC
Add the printer again

🔹 4. Registry Fix
Navigate to:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows

Update Device value to:
PrinterName,winspool,Ne00:

⚠️ Always back up the registry before making changes.

🔹 5. Repair Windows System Files
Open Command Prompt as Administrator and run:

sfc /scannow
DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

🔹 6. If It's a Network Printer
✅ Verify the host PC is online
✅ Remove and re-add the printer
✅ Update printer drivers
