In Razi nuclear medicine center we tray to do every conventional nuclear medicine procedure like lymphosconigraphy , Dcryoscintigeaphy , whole body bone scan,the same as MPI scan & I131 therapy for hyperthyroidism.....only we do not have PET/CT facility because the Goverment do not give the permision to peraivet nuclear medicine centers for PET/CT, I hope we can get permission for PET/CT in near future so we complete our center.

Hyper parathyroidism:
Hyperparathyroidism can lead to elevated level of PTH & calcium in the blood these abnormality leads to appropriate hyper functioning parathyroid gland/ glands so we know it as primary hyperparathyroidism. parathyroid tissue secretion of PTH that response to hypocalcemia is secondary hyperparathyroidism. Tertiary hyperparathyroidism is uncorrected, long hyperparathyroidism term , usually seen in end stage renal disease.
The standard treatment for parathyroid adenoma is surgery & successful treatment needs proper localization of adenoma the best & reliable method for localization for localization the hyper active parathyroid gland ( adenoma) is nuclear medicine imaging techniques before surgery, between them the Tc99m MIBI is the best & easy available method & we do this imaging in Razi Nnuclear Med Center . You can see one of our imaging in here that before surgery we localize the adenoma of parathyroid in upper mediastinum & after surgery the patient cure well.
