The 43rd World Hospital Congress held in Muscat, Oman on 6-9 November was a success with 630 health leaders and professionals from 60 countries joining the discussion on resilient health services, investments for prosperity and innovations. The event was organized by the IHF with the Ministry of Health of the Sultanate of Oman.

Notre spécialiste santé présente le système de télémédecine P.A.N.D.A.: une application 📱pour smartphone et tablette couplée à une base de données, destinée à des agents de santé pour améliorer le suivi et la prise en charge des femmes enceintes 🤰. Conçu par Terre Innovative Healthcare, le P.A.N.D.A a été adapté et testé au Burkina Faso par Enfants du Monde avec les Hôpitaux Universitaires de Genève.

PANDA Pregnancy And Newborn Diagnostic Assessment.

The burden of maternal mortality and mobidity is high in many parts of the world, with around 800 women dying every day from causes related to pregnancy and childbirth. Although these complications are often preventable, high quality healthcare is not available to many, due to cost, distance and a host of other obstacles. The PANDA system brings together prevention, screening and diagnostic services to deliver inclusive, high quality antenatal care to underserved communities.

In 2015 almost 100,000 persons were housed in Hosting Centres for Asylum Seekers (C.A.R.A) in Italy and lately there has been a growing number of women arriving, representing to date about 30% of the total .

Between July 2014 and December 2016 the PANDA team invited 150 who resided in the C.A.R.A (Sicily) to participate in the PANDA project, performing over 400 visits.

Between January and March 2015 we invited 100 women to participate in a pilot study on the feasibility and acceptability of the PANDA system in the District, a mainly rural area in northwest .

The PANDA system📱brings together , and services to deliver inclusive, high quality antenatal care to underserved communities.

The results of the pilot study have been published in the Journal Telemed Telecare.
