We are proud of MEEO´s participation to CES in Las Vegas, the world´s most important technology trade show.

In his talk SStefano Natali MEEO's co-founder and Representative of CClust-ER Innovazione nei Servizi focused on three main keywords:

📌 Vision. With its 130+ members amongst public and private bodies, the Cluster Innovate aims at collecting the needs and perspectives of the regional players, defining tools and policies to support tomorrow's activities. In this respect a strong relevance is given to the adoption of AI an GenAI and the need o conscious innovation approach; at the same time, the white paper "project space for skills" prepared by the "working group on aerospace downstream" (led by Prof. Gabriele Bitelli and MMarco Folegani allowed defining a geospatial data analyst course that, in the last three years, has already formed different students.

📌 Excellence. The Emilia Romagna Region has a strong tradition of champions in different sectors, from automotive to Agrifood. The ANSER consortium brings this excellence to the aerospace domain, collecting 24 companies that cover the full satellite data lifecycle, from platform's design to data processing, embedding AI in each step.

📌Impact: The adoption of AI shall generate a relevant impact on humankind's life. Stefano Natali presented the Desert Locust Monitoring Service, a tool developed by our sister company SISTEMA GmbH that helps farmers and local administrations in Africa and middle east to be ready once locusts will appear, with up to five weeks' advice. This allows protecting the crop, and improving productivity thus reducing nutrition issues.

La Romagna, con il suo calore e la sua allegria ha ospitato, dal 13 al 16 ottobre, la nostra seconda Assemblea Generale. Un appuntamento che vede i nostri team, di MEEO e di SISTEMA, incontrarsi per condividere di persona idee, proposte e conoscersi meglio.
Accolti e ‘viziati’ dal personale del Blu Suite Resort di Bellaria Igea Marina, abbiamo condiviso momenti di formazione, confronto, ma anche divertimento e relax.
Tredici le sessioni, divise in tecniche (Data Asset e Processing), scientifiche (servizi e attività di ricerca) e manageriali (gestione aziendale e mercato) che ci hanno consentito di tracciare la strategia per i prossimi cinque anni.
Ci siamo messi alla prova in attività di team building, fra le quali non poteva mancare un’esperienza gastronomica. Grazie alla collaborazione dello YEP Tour & Event abbiamo preparato piadine e cassoncini sotto l’occhio attento di nonna Marzia, nonna Mina e nonna Amelia che ci hanno guidato in un’esperienza giocosa ma impegnativa conclusasi con il doveroso assaggio.
Non possiamo condividere l’entusiasmo e il divertimento di queste giornate, ma porteremo nel cuore il mare, le chiacchiere fino a notte fonda nella vasca idromassaggio, la cucina romagnola e il piacere di lavorare insieme per la crescita di ognuno di noi a livello personale e professionale all’interno del nostro team.

Our second General Assembly has just come to an end — four unforgettable days in the heart of Romagna! 🌊✨

From October 13th to 16th, the teams of MEEO and SISTEMA gathered at the Blu Suite Resort & Spa in Bellaria Igea Marina to exchange ideas, plan future initiatives, and strengthen collaboration across our groups.

Welcomed with warmth and professionalism, we alternated between training sessions, strategic discussions, and moments of fun and relaxation.

We also engaged in a memorable team-building experience, guided by the experts of Yep Tour & Event: making traditional piadine and crescioni under the supervision of true sfogline. A playful and rewarding challenge that, of course, ended with a well-deserved tasting!

We return from these days with renewed energy, stronger connections, and the shared goal of growing together — both personally and professionally — within a cohesive and motivated team. 💪🌍

MEEO on stage in !
Today at 2025 EUMETSAT Noemi Fazzini is presenting DASSTER (DAta Space per il Sistema TERra), the Italian National Centre for HPC, Big Data and Quantum Computing.
DASSTER relies on data access and will provide multiple services, all compliant to FAIR principles (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable) to support scientific research activities.

Developed in collaboration ESA - European Space Agency, Exploring Earth is the cutting-edge web application designed to simplify the discovery, access and visualisation of satellite data.

As part of ESA’s commitment to data interoperability, the adoption of open standards, as well as emerging cloud technologies and services, the service allows – anyone and anytime – to seamless access to Earth Explorer, Heritage and Third-Party Missions data. With this launch, ESA continues its mission to make Earth observation data more accessible, empowering users to explore, analyse, and make informed decisions about our planet.

Buon ventesimo compleanno MEEO!

Twenty years of MEEO!
Today is an important date: on this day July 5th 2004,, in a garage deep in the countryside, three young graduates from the University of Ferrara funded, in a garage deep in the countryside, a company for the analysis of satellite data to monitor the environment.
Marco Folegani, Simone Mantovani and Stefano Natali met at the University and there they started discussing, sharing ideas and views. It wasn't an easy start. As often happens, work doesn't fall from the sky, not even when it comes to weather and satellites … But, thanks to the ability to adapt to the market and research, and the support of the people around them, the story kept going.

Sciences like Earth Observation evolve quickly and being always updated and aware is of a paramount importance. In these twenty years MEEO has enriched itself with different professional figures, who all together serve to navigate and guide the company in the sea of activities ranging from meteorology to agriculture, desertification, food security. Because Earth Observation is essential for the future.
Evolutions led MEEO, in 2009, to spin off R&D activities to Austria. And so: SISTEMA was born, as the front face toward new applications, climate change, machine learning and artificial intelligence.
In 2018, after years of development, ADAM was launched, as a “digital Earth” tool that allows accessing to a large amount and variety of geospatial environmental data, satellite images, and more.
Today MEEO and SISTEMA count about 40 employees, but … the best has yet to come!
A big thank goes to those who accompanied MEEO along this journey, to those who believed in this project and still support it and to those who will come and will help celebrating the next twentieth anniversary!
Twenty years… are not a milestone, but only a step.

So, happy birthday MEEO, and good work!

In pochi giorni il è giunto in prossimità dell'isola di dove le autorità hanno già ordinato la chiusura delle strutture pubbliche mentre si riportano già blackout e incidenti dovuti ai forti che precedono l'arrivo del . Questa immagine è stata acquisita dal satellite Sentinel-3B di nelle prime ore di oggi 4 Ottobre quando ancora la era classificata come tifone di categoria 3, ma nelle ore successive si è ulteriormente rafforzata raggiungendo il livello 4, con venti a 210 km/h. toccherà terra nella parte meridionale dell'isola e da quel momento la sua potenza dovrebbe iniziare a diminuire gradualmente.

La prima perturbazione di Aprile 2023 ha imbiancato l' con una pittoresca coltre di primaverile. La infatti, così come il resto del sud sarà oggetto di e portate dal che al momento staziona sul Mar Ionio e il cui sistema nuvoloso è ben visibile nell'immagine scattata dal Terra della nella tarda mattina di ieri 3 Aprile. Questa al momento non investe il resto d'Italia che infatti è ben visibile e dove si notano soltanto alcune orografiche nella zona dell'appennino centrosettentrionale.

Continua la missione della Regione Emilia-Romagna a , in Texas, alla quale partecipa anche MEEO, come azienda del CLUST - ER INNOVATE.
Dopo le visite al Greater Houston Partnership e Hewlett Packard Enterprise ieri visita alla e alla Rice University.
Alla presenza del vice ministro delle imprese e del Made in Italy Valentino Valentini e del presidente della Regione Stefano Bonaccini, Confindustria, Università e numerose imprese della nostra Regione incontreranno le realtà americane.

Dopo il passaggio della veloce perturbazione che ci ha tenuto compagnia fino a lunedì, ieri il di ha potuto acquisire un'immagine dell' con poche , ormai rimaste solo al centrosud. Al Nord il cielo completamente pulito ci mostra che la poca portata dalla non ha inciso sulla situazione attuale delle , che appaiono decisamente meno innevate di quanto sarebbe necessario. Scendendo lungo lo stivale si nota che l'Appennino Tosco-Emiliano è gia privo o quasi di neve, mentre l'Appennino Centrale è riuscito a conservare, se non addirittura a incrementare, la propria copertura nevosa. Se dalle montagne ci spostiamo in mare possiamo ammirare la Sardegna libera da nubi in tutta la sua bellezza, mentre nei cieli sopra l'alto Tirreno e ad Ovest della Corsica si notano delle f***e reti formate dalle scie di vapore dovute al passaggio degli aerei.
