The is a pan-European think tank that aims to address generational challengers that are international in nature and offer future-focused policy solutions. Their work branches numerous areas such as climate, innovation, health, democracy, education, migration, and urban-regional governance.

Aligned with these goals, 89 Initiative was commissioned to conduct research and a survey on the long term impact of the Spanish Riders’ Law. This law, introduced in 2021, forged to protect the labor rights of delivery workers, particularly those working from digital platforms.

Re.Brand worked on this report to design and organized the contents of the findings of this research into an elegant editorial design.

Different pastel colors were utilized to outline the different sections while enhancing the rich editorial content. The branding shifted away from the louder aesthetic canons of the organizations visual identity to embrace an original typographic style that is suitable for institutional presentations and informal contexts.

As countries throughout the EU implement new laws and aim to protect workers rights it is pivotal for organizations such as the 89 Initiative to conduct research and ensure that the goals of the legislation are being met.

Research such as this allows governments to be held accountable and ensure that they are aware of the voices and thoughts of the people they represent.

This past week Re.Brand had the opportunity to meet in Brussels with Eurochild and the Learning for Well-being Foundation to work towards creating a child-friendly version of the European Commission Guidelines on Mental Health and Well-Being at School report.

The meeting included recommendations and discussions from the Eurochild Children's Council, who were able to take part and share ideas on how the report could be made both accessible and clear for children of different ages.

Re.Brand collaborated with the group to discuss the visual possibilities through different exercises. The children were given the opportunity to give their input on the document layout, colour palette, illustration style, and graphical patterns. This meeting showcased the importance of the project and how including children in conversations such as these can have a positive impact.

The European Commission Guidelines on Mental Health and Well-Being at School report will be presented in a tailored format which will ensure that children are able to understand the complexities and issues surrounding mental health in school situations.

At Re.Brand Studio, we understand the importance of elevating the voices of the younger generations and are excited to continue this collaboration to construct a vital resource not only for the Children, but also for the educators of today and tomorrow.

Last weekend, the Eurochild Children’s Council gathered in Brussels for an exciting project: creating the child-friendly version of the European Commission Guidelines on and Well-Being at .

Working alongside Learning for Well-being Foundation and with the support of Re.Brand Studio, the children dedicated three days to defining the content and the format of the document, translating the guidelines into language and making them visually engaging. Thanks to their enthusiasm and determination, they have helped shape something that will make a real difference for across Europe!

Following this initial in-person meeting in Brussels, the next phase of the project will involve a broader consultation with National Eurochild Forums and the EU Child Participation Platform, before the final presentation to the European Commission in November.

Nets4Dem is a network of policymakers, civil society organisations, and researchers pursuing democracy-focused work. The project tackles specifically the previous lack of consistent approaches to democratic renewal, exacerbated by fragmented knowledge and existing silos within the wider community of stakeholders.

In the development of the Nets4Dem website in collaboration with , Re.Brand focused on the goal of creating a reference forum to include, inform, and engage existing network members and other interested parties. The structure of the platform works to appeal to these groups, making up the unique network of networks structure of Nets4Dem, which covers 200 cities, 50 think tanks and universities, and 320 civil society organisations in 38 different European countries.

Launched in 2024, the governance already hosted multiple Democracy accelerators and labs, some of which have focused on climate actions or digital transformation. It has also initiated education and mentorship programmes to ensure new initiatives are given the time and resources to succeed in democracy promotion.

Overall, the website acts as a branded framework for the project activities, with the knowledge hub, capacity-building programmes, and the call-to-action to invite new members to become part of the network, all placed at the centre of the navigation paths.

Now more than ever, the goals and actions of Nets4Dem are aligned with Re.Brand’s ideals and mission of helping organisations build a more democratic future for today and tomorrow, one that is centred around the fundamental European values and pursuits.

Part of the larger METEOR research framework, Best-Cost is one of the five cluster projects whose website was developed by Re.Brand Studio in collaboration with .

Best-Cost sets out to improve the methodologies for understanding the socioeconomic costs of environmental stressors, focusing specifically on air and noise pollution. By doing so, it aims to reduce the burden of disease, create more health-promoting living and working environments, and increase equity and sustainability across Europe. The study is done through a methodological scheme that allows researchers and policymakers to adopt a harmonized approach to understanding the health costs of pollution.

Characterized by a simple user experience built around the need to immediately identify the work areas, information, resources, case studies, and policy recommendations, the platform strikes a balance between institutional credibility and accessibility prerogatives. In this sense, the content structure and web design elements have been conceived by keeping in mind the large user base of stakeholders ranging from civil society audiences to professional researchers and relevant policymakers.

The logo’s irregular cloud-like shape, the project’s naturalistic colors, and rounded content blocks were all seamlessly integrated into the pages and sections, forming a cohesive interface that reinforces the goal of harmonizing the economic and health models in the stressors’ impact assessment.

As the research project goes ahead in 2025 with participation in institutional conferences and the production of relevant scientific resources, supporting EuroHealthNet on the development of the Best-Cost website has emphasized Re.Brand’s mission of promoting a fairer environment and a better future for all European communities.

In the fall of 2024, Re.Brand worked with the to create a visual identity for the third annual European Green Academy event. Hosted at the Maison de la Poste in Brussels, the flagship initiative brought together speakers and activists in plenaries, workshops, and sessions to discuss the importance of forward-thinking ideas on critical environmental and political ecology topics.

With this objective, Re.Brand Studio created the new visual identity and designed the communications assets for the . The brand has as its central element the powerfully geometric logo that merges the different dimensions of the project and is a unifying symbol of all the layers involved.

The flower-like shape of the logomark, indeed, displays three green leaves shaped around the Green European Foundation’s iconography, each representing the event’s key themes of Democracy, The Future of the Green Deal, and Social Europe. The blue petal to the bottom-right is instead aimed at highlighting the knowledge, training, and networking objectives, vaguely resembling a speech bubble. Finally, the dark green heart of the flower keeps all these dimensions together, metaphorically putting the future of Europe at the centre of the political agenda.

Starting from these key identity features and a broader colour palette of greens, yellow, and pink, we designed a set of consistent digital and printed communications assets used by the Green European Foundation’s team for the promotion of the event and the branding of the venue. The produced outputs ranged from classic social media templates to customised items offered to the attendees, such as the biodegradable bookmarks.

The Contrast and Harmony book showcases the work of . His photography focuses on the buildings of the European District of Brussels and the magnificent landscapes of the area. At Re.Brand, we are delighted to have played a role in bringing Mauro's vision to life.

The shots are displayed monochromatically and have been compiled during years of study and architectural tours by the artist. The images bring emphasis to the social and urban planning within the city and are accompanied by interviews that shed light on the future of the neighborhood. Ultimately, the project is designed to conceptualize how architecture and urban planning have interpreted the role of the de facto capital of the European Union and how they can reflect the citizens’ sense of belonging.

For months, we worked closely with the artist to convey these ideas through the editorial design. This was achieved by indiscriminately focusing on the elegance of the typesetting and on the reading rhythm. The portfolio is sequenced in an irregular but logical format and interspersed with yellow pages to represent textual sections within the book.

The final graphic composition and order stress the centrality of the photos to make them stand out visually from any other information. This allows the reader to immediately see how the development of the topography has an actual impact on Brussels' society.

Techno-Politics is a series of conferences and forums organized on an annual basis by the European Liberal Forum think tank, the latter of which took place last November. As technologies continue to grow and advance steadily, ELF brought together experts, industry representatives, academics, and politicians to discuss how new and emerging tools can change ‘traditional’ policymaking and impact our society as a whole.

With technologies being put at the center of the political agendas, they offer unprecedented opportunities for countries and citizens in Europe and the rest of the world; yet, these opportunities must also come with intelligent policy choices to support them.

helped with the creative part of this project in 2022 by designing the visual identity for Techno-Politics. The logo evokes the arms of the torch-individual depicted in ELF’s logo mark, symbolically embracing both the technological and political dimensions of the name.

The palette is composed of only two complementary colours, favouring the desired production of minimal and cutting-edge visuals. The primary dark green colour emphasises the continuity with the main brand, conveying simplicity, seriousness, and reliability. The secondary ice grey colour is selected as an essential representation of innovation and neutrality of technology components.

The Paralucent typeface used for the logo and the titles boldly highlights the irreversible presence of digital and technology priorities in contemporary and future policy choices, while the Museo Sans for body copy immediately makes clear the direct bond with the European Liberal Forum’s official typography.

Through Techno-Politics, ELF created a bridge between technology, the individual, and the institutional support of our digital future, which is vital in this day and age of ever-changing political and scientific innovation. Re.Brand reinterpreted visually this mission with a neat and evergreen brand identity.

In 2023, the European Network Against Racism .europe celebrated their 25th anniversary, a milestone for the organisation whose mission is to end structural racism in Europe. Re.Brand Studio was delighted to partake in this important occasion and helped the staff prepare the year-round campaign commemorating this anniversary and starting a new phase in civil society’s fight towards equality. The commemorations included artist competitions, the network’s road tour, tech festivals, member events, and the anniversary gala.

In particular, Re.Brand Studio served as the official creative partner for ENAR, producing the visual and digital materials for the year-long ‘ ’ campaign. The contributions spanned the entire spectrum of the campaign’s creative assets, from the design of the official anniversary logo and the editing of the promotional video to the development of a bespoke landing page with calls-to-action for the public’s engagement, such as registration to events, subscriptions, and donations.

The events celebrated communities and worked to collectively reflect on a world where racism is a thing of the past. This was done through a series of events hosted by network members across Europe, such as the Anti-Racism and Diversity Week and the Black History Months, along with other appointments in Brussels, London, Luxembourg, Greece, and Finland.

This campaign showcased Re.Brand Studio’s testament to human rights and social equality as a committed ally in ENAR’s crucial mission

This past week, the Green European Foundation hosted the third annual European Green Academy at the beautiful venue of maisondelaposte in Brussels. The initiative brings together speakers and activists in plenaries, workshops, and sessions to discuss the importance of forward-thinking ideas on critical environmental and political ecology topics. The event was successful in its goal to increase education around these matters and bring forth an engaged citizenry.

With this objective, Re.Brand Studio proudly worked in close exchange with Alice Hubbard and Amira Salama of the gef_europe to create a visual identity and communications materials for the . The new brand centred around establishing the Academy as the primary discussion and exchange forum of the European Green Movement that engages current stakeholders as well as the younger generations of Europeans who are ultimately at the frontline of community actions.

The identity thus has as its central element the clear, powerfully geometric logo that merges different dimensions of the project and is a unifying symbol of all the layers involved. The flower-like shape of the logomark displays three green leaves rooted in the Green European Foundation’s iconography, each representing EGA’s key themes of Democracy, The Future of the Green Deal, and Social Europe. The blue petal to the bottom-right is instead aimed at highlighting the knowledge, training, and networking objectives, vaguely resembling a speech bubble. Finally, the dark green heart of the flower keeps all these dimensions together, metaphorically putting at the centre of the political agenda the future of Europe.

Ultimately, the EGA event was very successful, bringing forth enthusiastic participants from across Europe. Notable speakers included Nicolae Ștefănuță: Vice President of European Parliament, Rasmus Nordqvist rnordqvist : MEP, Green Group European Parliament, Benedetta Scuderi benni.scuderi : MEP, Green Group European Parliament, and Enrico Somaglia: Deputy Secretary General European Federation of Food, Agriculture and Tourism Unions, among others.

Re.Brand has had the pleasure of collaborating with on METEOR. This framework project aims to forge a unified approach by harmonizing research outcomes from a cluster of five Horizon Europe projects: Best-Cost, Marches, Mistral, UBD Policy, and Valesor.

The ultimate goal aims to explore and present conclusions on the health impacts of environmental stressors, such as air, noise pollution, chemicals and how they relate to socioeconomic costs. Using research as a foundation, METEOR will amplify messages and recommendations to policy makers to address key challenges in environmental pollution.

Re.Brand designed the official website for the project, aligning its aesthetic with the existing visual identity. Each of the five cluster projects were assigned a unique color, reflecting the rich palette of the brand and symbolizing diversity. The websites structure, a blend of blocks and minimalistic lines signifies international collaboration and serves as an elegant canvas to present the multifaceted nature of the cluster aims.

The platform was able to highlight the power of innovative design in advancing critical causes and reshaping policy landscapes.

During these last few months, Re.Brand supported Eurochild ECPAT International and terre des hommes to create the new visual identity and communications materials for the VOICE Project.

The goal was to effectively bring the voices and insights of children, parents, and caregivers to policymakers at the national and EU levels, as well as globally, and make their insights about online child safety accessible to a larger public. The project was established on behalf of the children’s rights Down to Zero Alliance of organisations working towards the common goal of strengthening children’s digital rights.

The visual identity of the VOICE Project is a thoughtful blend of design elements. It features bold symbols, warm colours, rounded shapes, playful fonts, and typical children’s patterns. These elements are carefully chosen to create a warm and human-centred visual environment. More importantly, they symbolize the role of children as the primary actors of the project and invite them to actively participate.

This collaborative method was adopted for the creation of the project’s publications, including a child-friendly executive summary, whose template is the direct result of a creative brainstorming session with children from all over Europe.
