Gezond verstand is het fundamentele, praktische oordeel en begrip dat we in het dagelijks leven gebruiken.
Het is gebaseerd op gedeelde ervaringen, intuïtie en eenvoudige logica, in plaats van specialistische kennis.
Gezond verstand helpt ons om verstandige, redelijke beslissingen te nemen, zoals weten dat we niet van een klif moeten springen of bedorven en stinkend voedsel moeten eten.
Het is een basisbewustzijn van oorzaak en gevolg en sociale normen, maar wat als 'gezond' wordt beschouwd, kan cultureel, geografisch en in de loop der tijd verschillen.

Si basa su esperienze condivise, intuizione e logica semplice, piuttosto che su conoscenze specialistiche.
Il buon senso ci aiuta a prendere decisioni sensate e ragionevoli, come sapere di non buttarsi da una scogliera o di non mangiare cibo scaduto e maleodorante.
È una consapevolezza basilare di causa ed effetto e delle norme sociali, ma ciò che è considerato "comune" può variare culturalmente, geograficamente e nel tempo.

It is based on shared experiences, intuition, and simple logic, rather than specialized knowledge.
Common sense helps us make sound, reasonable decisions like knowing not to jump off a cliff or eating expired and smelly food.
It's a basic awareness of cause-and-effect and social norms, but what's considered "common" can vary culturally, geographically and over time.
