Over 15,000 exquisite craft works from 36 traditional craft regions of Ishikawa Prefecture will gather in one place for one spectacular event.
Ishikawa is known as one of Japan’s richest cultural regions, where traditional crafts have flourished since the Edo period under the patronage of the Maeda clan. The prefecture has ranked No.1 nationwide for over 20 years in both the number of Living National Treasures per capita and award recipients at the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition.
At this annual festival, visitors can see, touch, and purchase a wide range of authentic Japanese crafts—from ceramics, lacquerware, textiles, and metalwork to contemporary pieces rooted in tradition.
