Some few days i shared a screenshot about how Facebook could access your sms and other confidential info. Today in the morning i bumped into an article about some vulnerabilities in WhatsApp.
Now it happens that the bad guys can intercept your connection and decrypt your messages. One thing people might not know is that WhatsApp saves your conversations in the phone sd card. So crackers have developed apps which when permitted will be able to read and write all the information on the sd card. This flaw is highly encouraged by users who do not read the permissions he/she is granting to an app. So if you grant an app permission to read and write you sd card, it means that the same application can upload all you information to a server and you might get you dirty linen out their for all people to see. Google has tried to bar such apps from the store but still some manages to enter their Store. So users be wary of apps that can access your sd card without your knowledge.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 has gone official at Mobile World Congress with a whole bunch of new features. After much ado at Mobile World Congress, the Samsung Galaxy S5 is now official. It's running Android 4.4.2 on a 2.5 Ghz quad-core processor with 2 GB of RAM and 16/32 GB of storage (plus microSD). The screen measures in at 5.1 inches and 1920 x 1080 resolution, with an IR blaster and USB 3.0 rounding out the inputs. The 16 megapixel camera on the back can shoot 4K video at 30 FPS, and has a new selective focus to provide simulated depth of field. The 0.3 second autofocus time is also pretty impressive. Samsung is reporting 21 hours of talk time from the Samsung Galaxy S5's 2800 mAh battery, plus a new power-saving mode that flips the display to black and white. You'll also find a fingerprint scanner and heart rate monitor. In-line with the more sporty features of the S Health app, the GS5 is fully dust resistant and waterproof up to 1 meter of submersion

Whatsapp is another product facebook has acquired after instagram. They gave a statement that they are not planning to commercialize it anytime soon. So this kept me wondering what was the main reason for acquiring this product and how are they going to sustain it?
Given that WhatsApp spend almost $500,000 a month sending activation messaged to users and the amount of resources needed to sustain such an application used by millions is highly costly and demand a lot of workforce.
