In this example a transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) monolayer is suspended over a trench with a depth of ~40 nm. Being able to measure the surface topography of delicate suspended layers is especially valuable in the study of mechanical resonators and correlative workflows with transmission electron microscopy, enabling more comprehensive and correlative analysis of advanced nanomaterials.
