SAP Connect Day was a successful event and a fantastic gathering of business leaders shaping the next phase of digital transformation.

John Keells IT was proud to participate as a Gold Sponsor, engaging with key customers, industry leaders, and technology partners to explore how organizations are evolving their enterprise technology strategies for the future.

This year’s event spotlighted SAP’s vision for the year ahead, where Data, AI, and Agentic Business Processes powered by AI-ready data are redefining how enterprises operate, make decisions, and scale innovation.

Sessions throughout the evening explored how organizations can future-proof their application landscape through the new SAP Business Suite, while also enabling faster adoption through solutions such as SAP GROW Fast, designed to accelerate transformation for growing enterprises.

One of the highlights of the evening was the celebration of the successful Go-Live of John Keells Holdings PLC on RISE with SAP, one of the largest RISE implementations in South Asia.

A defining milestone in enterprise transformation.

John Keells Holdings PLC has successfully gone live on RISE with SAP, establishing a powerful new digital core to support the Group’s next phase of growth

As Sri Lanka’s largest listed conglomerate with 70+ businesses across 8 industry verticals, this transformation brings together 1,500 RISE FUEs and over 20,000 employees on SAP SuccessFactors, making it one of the largest RISE with SAP engagements in South Asia.

This initiative was undertaken to digitally modernize the Group’s core operations and create the foundation required to scale, innovate, and accelerate growth in the years ahead.

The official Go-Live was marked in the presence of Krishan Balendra, Chairperson of John Keells Holdings PLC, Gihan Cooray, Deputy Chairperson of John Keells Holdings PLC, Ramesh Shanmuganathan, Group CIO of John Keells Holdings and CEO of John Keells IT, together with Sajith Simon, Partner – Strategic Alliances & Relations at KPMG, and Rajat Gupta, Partner – SAP Practice at KPMG, alongside the John Keells Group IT leadership and the partner teams from John Keells IT and KPMG who worked closely to deliver this landmark transformation.

Ahead of SAP Connect Day, John Keells IT hosted a curated Exclusive Executive Breakfast Dialogue "The Fundamentals of Sustainable Transformation".

The dialogue, joined by Sushant Kishore, Regional Director at SAP - Sri Lanka, brought together leaders who are looking beyond ERP implementation and focusing on how transformation can be sustained over time.

During the discussion, business leaders explored several key considerations for sustainable transformation, including:
