Yesterday was a special day for www.promise.lk, the Sri Lankan eGP System. It has reached the milestone of a thousand online procurements per week for the first time. Theekshana predicted that this would happen last week. No one celebrated this milestone. It did without much fanfare. when we noticed that the system had reached over 950 online procurements. We knew that the system would cross the thousand for the first time.

Theekshana had delivered two competitive bidding systems, which go as Version 2.1. The 2.1 is monolithic systems, and Theekshana delivered Version 3, which has a Microservice Architecture, which is undergoing IA certification.

We remember a time when some thought that Sri Lanka could not develop an eGP System in Sri Lanka. Perhaps, all three are the cheapest in the world. This is why we said no celebrations at all. Any way it worked.
