INTECS The Information Technology Society of Faculty of Information Technology, University of Moratuwa.

INTECS was formed by a group of students from the IT Faculty in 2002 with the aim of building up awareness within the students of the Faculty about the field of Information Technology, and to expose undergraduates to unique opportunities within the IT Industry of Sri Lanka and beyond. By default, every student who enters the Faculty is considered a member of INTECS and as such a beneficiary of the

many perks it has to offer. Among the many events conducted by INTECS within and without the Faculty, the following annual events are available for students to take part in:
● Industry awareness program for 1st year students
● In-house recruitment program for the passing out students
● Software Freedom Day
● Introduction to Google Summer of Code
● .NET technology awareness workshop
● Imagine Cup launching ceremony
● Tech-talk series with industry professionals

Furthermore, INTECS conducts an annual Career Fair where organizations from the IT industry conduct in-house recruitment at the Faculty premises itself.
