It’s been a while! The TEDxVilnius team has spent a few more silent years trying to figure out the possible futures for TEDxVilnius.

After a lot of thoughtful discussions, our team has decided that it’s ready for the new chapters and will not continue organizing new events in the future.

It has been the most rewarding 12 years and we’re forever grateful to everyone who has been involved in creating one of the most inspiring and timely conferences, bringing both global ideas and local voices to Vilnius.

Thank you to all of our wonderful partners, speakers, participants, volunteers and supporters, who helped spark creativity, imagination and curiosity in the city of Vilnius and its people. It has been an amazing journey.

The TEDxVilnius team will continue to share the lessons and expertise with others, who work on bringing needed and outstanding ideas to the world.

And if you’re someone who is passionate about sharing inspiring ideas, has a vision and time to commit to organizing an event, consider applying for a TEDx license. See the link in the comments.

All income from TEDxVilniusLive ticket sales will be donated to World Central Kitchen – a nonprofit organization providing meals to Ukrainians at the war frontlines.

The organization was founded in 2010 by a Spanish-American chef José Andrés and is led by Nate Mook who is a fellow TEDx’er, TEDxMidAtlantic curator and TEDxVilnius 2015 speaker. From the first day of the war Nate and his team have been at the frontlines in Ukraine providing meals to Ukrainians every day. To this day they have served over 9 million meals and transported over 2.5 million kgs of food to 60+ cities and towns around Ukraine, where they cooperate with local chefs and set up local charity kitchens.

Just recently one of the restaurants in Kharkiv was struck by a missile, which left 4 people injured. A couple days later a new location was found to start serving local people again.
Even with a small bit, we couldn’t be more proud to contribute to the amazing work that World Central Kitchen does in Ukraine every single day.

Here comes the second TEDxVilniusLive 2022 workshop!

In the phase of crisis we are all going through a range of emotions. Tough situations require rapid responses, which in the long run have a huge impact on our mental health and civic engagement. We are extremely happy to welcome Eglė and experience what it takes to become a little more resilient with a pinch of laughter.

The HUMOR AND LIVING workshop will invite us to delve into the meaning and impact of humor in human life, and bring some lightness to everyday situations. The workshop will focus not only on techniques, but a simple human presence and ability to stay alive and in-a-moment without any preparation or prejudice.

Eglė Stasiulytė is an artist who wears many hats - having been involved in clowning for more than a decade, she combines it with movement and at least a few dance styles that are very dear to her heart. From dance floor to directing, from coaching to performing, from costume design to copywriting, from inspiring conversations to uncontrollable laughter, Egle’s practice is truly interdisciplinary. New circus is her safe haven and a space where she brings all her talents and skills.
