"SAP? We're far too small for that."

When people think SAP they think S/4HANA, which runs multinationals and is priced accordingly. We hear it in most first meetings, and the confusion is fair.

SAP Business One is a different product for a different size of company.
83,000 businesses run it, 1.2 million users across 170 countries, supported by around 850 certified partners worldwide.

More than 30 of those implementations are in Malta, and we did them.
It's configurable enough that most of our projects involve no custom code at all. And if you ever get tired of us, any SAP partner in the world can pick your system up and support it. You aren't tied to whoever built it.

From the beach to the office in 24 hours? 🥥 ➡️ 💻

The first few days back can be rough.
1 in 4 employees return from holiday feeling less motivated. Nearly half experience higher stress levels when they get back to work.

Ignoring it won’t improve performance. A better return starts with realistic goals, useful feedback and enough flexibility for people to find their rhythm again.

Factorial ’s Talent module helps managers put that structure in place, without adding more admin.

As a Factorial Partner, we’re sharing the “From 0 to 100: Boost & Support Your Team” Kit, a practical resource for supporting your team before motivation takes a hit.

By 2030, 39% of today’s skills are expected to change or become outdated as AI and new technologies reshape the way we work.

Yet only 15% of companies assess their internal skills strategically, and just 11% plan for the skills they will need in the future.

That gap has consequences: stalled projects, frustrated teams and expensive recruitment for skills that could have been developed internally.

Reskilling starts with understanding the talent you already have:

🔹 Map existing skills and identify gaps
🔹 Create clear development plans for employees
🔹 Manage training budgets and costs
🔹 Track progress in one place

With Factorial , businesses can take a more structured approach to employee development without relying on disconnected spreadsheets and manual follow-ups.

If you want to see how Factorial can support your team’s development, let’s arrange a quick demo.

Five questions worth asking any ERP vendor before you sign. Ours included.

1. How is the AI priced? If it runs on credits, what happens when your transaction volume doubles?

2. Where does the data live, and can you move it? Some platforms are cloud-only, with no self-hosted option at any price.

3. What happens to our customisations at the next upgrade? On some systems, custom code has to be refactored every version.

4. Does it cover operations or only finance? Plenty of excellent finance software has no warehouse, no manufacturing and no field service, and you'll be buying those separately.

5. Who maintains the database stack underneath? Some ERPs need six components patched and talking to each other before anyone logs in.

We can answer all five for SAP Business One in the first meeting.
A vendor who can't, or won't, is telling you something.

Twenty tablets.
Six locations.
One weekend to go live, and not a single shop closed for an hour.
That was Busy Bee.

SAP Business One and MSSQL running on cloud, SAP Customer Checkout across the tills, orders printing straight through to the kitchen, and master data syncing between the companies in the group so nobody keys the same product twice.

Three consultants, two developers, about a year from kick-off to go-live.
The part clients ask about most is the weekend. A retail go-live where the shops keep trading is mostly about planning: cut-over sequence, who is physically on the floor, what happens if the printer queue backs up at 11am on a Saturday.

We've done enough of them to know where it tends to go wrong.

August in Malta usually means half the office is gone and the other half is watching the clock.

We don't shut down. Mark and Anton are here for the whole month, and so is about 80% of the team.
This is very useful, actually.

When your users are on leave, we can do things that are impossible during a normal working week: scheduled maintenance, database work, and upgrades that require everybody to be logged out.

In fact, some clients plan for this deliberately. They book the disruptive work for the fortnight their staff are off and come back in September to a system that has already been through it.

If something on your system needs downtime or far less activity than on a normal business day, this is the month for it.

Most HR platforms in Malta try to do payroll.

Factorial doesn't. It does HR - properly - and integrates with your payroll provider.
That distinction matters more than it sounds.

Payroll has its own complexity, its own local legal requirements, its own specialists. Combining it with HR management in a single platform usually means one of them is getting done badly.

Factorial focuses on what HR teams actually need day to day: recruitment tracking, onboarding, leave management, performance reviews, expense management, and employee records.

If you need payroll as well, we can advise on integration with local providers.

If you've been holding off on an HR platform because the options felt too complicated or too enterprise, Factorial might be worth a look.

There's a version of software implementation where five people show up to the first meeting, and then you spend six months sending emails to an account manager who wasn't even there.

That's not how we work.

The person who scoped your project is the person who leads the implementation.

The person who answers the phone when something goes wrong at 8 am on go-live day is the same person who told you it might.

We're not trying to scale across 50 clients at once.

We're trying to do good work for the ones we have, and a few new ones, too.

In Malta, that matters. Direct access and fast response aren't extras. They're the job.
