Let’s Talk - Passive Su***de Ideation ❌

This is an educational mental health campaign which uses Joji's song lyrics to explain serious mental health issues. The topics discussed in this campaign are Inner Demons, Depression, and Passive Su***de Ideation, through the songs, Demons, No Fun, and Window. The design for this campaign was inspired by Joji’s space-themed music videos and the artist’s affinity for sci-fi and space. A youthful approach was taken to this tough topic to engage youth and move beyond its stigma.

The Orange Bike Ride 2024 T-shirt Design

The Orange Bike Ride’s 2024 t-shirt design captures two of the main aspects of the bike ride: the bicycle and the view of its main destination, Valletta. The bicycle is represented through the illustration of half a bicycle’s wheel, while Valletta is represented through an illustration of its iconic skyline. Surrounding the main illustration are the event’s name as well as the bike ride’s date, which are decoratively combined through a chain-like design representing a bicycle’s chain.

Falko’s T-shirt design

Falko () is Birdlife Malta’s youth group, which organises educational events on Malta’s biodiversity. The t-shirt’s illustrations are made up of 3 insects, 3 birds and 3 flowers: a dragonfly, a Robin, the Maltese Spider Orchid, a blackberry, the Maltese Honeybee, the European Common Starling, a White Wagtail, the Maltese Caper, and the Maltese Ruby Tiger Moth.

These illustrations are an overall representation of the youth group’s love for Malta’s wildlife, with some illustrations encompassing a deeper meaning. The robin reflects BirdLife Malta’s historic protest against robin trapping, while the other birds highlight common migratory species, with the European starling being my favourite bird. The blackberry references an inside joke within the group, while the orchid represents a few members’ involvement in local orchid conservation work.

The Orange Bike Ride’s T-shirt - 2025 edition 🚴🏼

The t-shirt design for the Orange Bike Ride’s 2025 edition was inspired by Maltese cultural elements such as our sea, our sun, Tberfil, and the Maltese 8-pointed cross, all surrounding a bicycle. These elements come together forming a scene encapsulated in an oval shape, which is surrounded by the title of the event and the date, 10 representing October, and 25 representing the year. Similar to last year’s design, the rectangular shapes at the bottom of the capsule represent a bicycle’s chain. This was done to give it a sense of continuity.

Blooming Inspiration | Wild Radish 🌱

Blooming Inspiration is a set of 3 seed packets containing seeds from indigenous wildflower species. This project links my affinity for flora with design through the means of packaging design. These seed packets serve me as a reminder to continue looking for inspiration through nature, as the natural world has a vast number of fascinating elements embedded in its core.

The plants chosen are some of my favourite wildflowers which can be found in Malta and in my dad’s field during springtime. They are also indigenous to the Maltese islands and play a vital role in maintaining a healthy ecosystem by feeding our local insect species 🦋🐝

La Vie d'une Euphrasie - Details and process

This painting symbolizes the multiple stages of life. The wildflower Euphrasia, represents growth, persistence, and resistance, while the leaves around it represent life’s challenges, adventures as well as finding meaning in life’s tougher times (is-sofferenza). At the bottom, emerging from the soil, lie a few mushrooms which are an embodiment of the last stage of life, which is death.

The Euphrasia is also a reflection of the viewer and the challenges they’ve **conquered** in their life, their growth and resilience, which led them right here, right now, staring at their own life reflected in this painting.

This painting was inspired by my journey of growth as well as the song ‘Another Day in Paradise’ by Phil Collins. All the flora used in this painting was referenced from a campsite in Bujaleuf, France. These were specifically chosen to showcase the little treasures in that beautiful natural paradise.

La Vie d'une Euphrasie 🍂

This painting represents the many stages of life. At its center, the wildflower Euphrasia symbolizes growth, persistence, and resilience. Surrounding leaves embody life’s challenges and adventures, as well as the search for meaning amid hardship (is-sofferenza). Emerging from the soil at the bottom, the mushrooms signify the final stage of life—death—completing the natural cycle.

The Euphrasia also serves as a mirror to the viewer, reflecting their own journey of endurance, transformation, and self-discovery. It invites contemplation on the challenges one has overcome and the growth that has shaped the present moment—standing before this very work, face-to-face with their own reflection in art.

This piece was inspired by my personal journey of growth and by Phil Collins’ song “Another Day in Paradise.” All the flora depicted were referenced from a campsite in Bujaleuf, France, carefully chosen to celebrate the small, often overlooked treasures of that serene natural landscape.
