we wish you all a very happy Independence day 😊, Spend some quality time with family and loved ones. On this occasion we want to share a little story of Mauritius. Hope you like it.

Mauritius, a tiny island nestled in the Indian Ocean, had been under British colonial rule for more than 150 years. The Mauritian people were tired of being governed by a foreign power and yearned for their own independence.

Their journey towards freedom was one marked by tears, blood, and sweat. They formed political parties, organized protests and strikes, and faced arrests and repression from the British authorities. But despite the odds stacked against them, they persevered, fueled by their unwavering spirit and their love for their country.

As the years went by, the movement for independence grew stronger and more united. The Mauritian people demanded a complete break from their colonial past and refused to settle for partial self-government.

Finally, in 1967, after decades of struggle and perseverance, the Labour Party won a majority in the elections and secured the final terms of independence with the British government. On March 12, 1968, the dream of the Mauritian people became a reality - they were finally free.

The people of Mauritius cried tears of joy, embraced each other, and danced in the streets as their new flag was raised for the first time. They sang songs of triumph and unity, celebrating the end of colonialism and the beginning of a new era for their beloved country.

The independence of Mauritius was a victory for the people, a testament to their resilience, and a source of immense pride for generations to come. It was a moment that will forever be etched in the hearts and minds of the Mauritian people - a reminder of the power of determination and the beauty of freedom.
