The history of Nexus series smartphone is pretty interesting. It started with HTC Nexus One in Jan 2010, then in Dec 2010 Samsung Nexus S, and then in Nov 2011 the Samsung Galaxy Nexus appeared. Later on, in 2012 LG Nexus 4 appeared which broke all the records in terms of sales and price to performance ratio. And the 2013 version is miles ahead then the previous history. Google revealed the LG Nexus 5 on the 31st October and since then the smartphone is selling like hot cakes. Google & LG has defined the standard of performance and specifications with the launch of Nexus 5. However, it is not all the best smartphone of the market but if we compare the price then, yes Nexus 5 is best. Since the Nexus 4, the count of fans of Nexus series reached to uncountable. If people knows, Google will reveal the next Nexus after 4 months and already market has pretty good smartphone manufactured by Sony, Apple, HTC or Samsung then also people will wait for the Nexus smartphone to come out. Yes, I belong to the same fan list. However, now the rumors and leaks for the next Google Nexus 6 smartphone would take the performance to the imaginary end. Yes, 16 nm scale manufactured chipsets are getting ready and with the octa-core processors power the performance would be unbeatable. This upcoming hardware would appear in 2014 for sure. Already many of the manufactures have announced such hardware that they might reveal at Mobile world congress in Feb 2014.

HTC Nexus One – Jan 2010
Samsung Nexus S – Dec 2010
Samsung Galaxy Nexus – Nov 2011
LG Nexus 4 – Nov 2012
LG Nexus 5 – Nov 2013
Google Nexus 6 – August 2014?

Nexus 6 release date

Since the launch of Nexus 4 and Nexus 5 in the early November of the year, now people have set the next Nexus 6 release date to be either late October 2014. But none can actually confirm you the release date of Nexus 6.

Nexus 6

But there is good news for Google smartphones fans that there is a probability and chances that Google may schedule the Nexus 6 release date in the second quarter of 2014, instead of 3rd quarter. This can be judge by the present smartphone market and the demands of people. The nexus series is affordable solution for those, who want to buy high-end smartphone at low or appropriate prices. And actually Nexus 5 is one of the best high-end smartphone in terms of design, performance, construction and handling. What else you need, it is the complete solution for every possible need of you in terms of smartphone. But we fans of technology and in the greediness of something new, we demand something better before time. Well, it happens sometimes only. Let’s cross our fingers and whisper in the ears of Google that we want, Google Nexus 6 should be released in the second quarter of 2014.
Nexus 6 Display – curved, 3d or flexible?

If you have observed in the Nexus series smartphone, Google launch the Nexus smartphone in the end of the year and with all the high end specifications that are currently the trend or the things that would be just a new trend. Google maintains the equilibrium for the trend and demand. We don’t mean, it wait throughout the year and picks the positive high end specifications, mix them and create a beast. The originality of Nexus smartphone is always an impressive factor. However, to stand in the market, Google has to pick such specifications. Haters can pick any reason to criticize.

Nexus 6

We can easily find few smartphone Geek that hate the nexus 5. But the reality is judged by the mass. If we talk about the future generation Google Nexus 6 smartphone, then it would of course match the trend of the time. Already Samsung and LG have taken the initiative to bring the curved display smartphone and the little success of the curved display smartphone has already defined its future and interest of people. The present chances are negligible that we would see curved display Nexus 6. But who knows, if Google has not even decided yet. They are busy in selling nexus 5, just kidding.

Just a month ago, a Chinese manufacturer has released world’s first 2K resolution display smartphone and the results and interest of people is pretty impressive and Samsung is also going to launch a such smartphone very soon. Now, you can judge the right trend. Better rendering capability, new color scheme, high end resolution is the demand of people and manufactures will of course take this to next level. 2K resolutions (Ultra High Definition) smartphone display could be normal in 2014 and Google would not lack in the race. Google is itself a winner and it will win for sure. Soon, we will see the concept Nexus 6 images created by fans and designers.
Google Nexus 6 specifications

True octa-core, 2.4Ghz+ processor
At least 4GB RAM (the present trend is already reached to 3GB RAM)
20MP ultra low light sensitivity camera sensor (expected)
5 inches 2K UHD resolution display
3100 mAh battery
Finger print and other security sensor
Health, atmosphere and thermo sensor
64GB and 128GB memory versions

None of the manufacturer can complete the all the expectations of a smartphone geek. A geek can even demand for 8GB RAM in a smartphone. There are already few blogs that are not actually claiming but revealed in the rumors that Google Nexus 6 would support the 6GB RAM. I think they don’t mean, Nexus 6 so Ram also 6GB. Well, 6GB RAM is not sensible. Even 4GB RAM is more than enough for a smartphone but we can’t easily predict the hardware of smartphone after few months from now.

The new technology has given birth to the new smartphone era, which is continuously changing and evolving. The Nexus 6 design could be completely different from the present design. But Nexus 5 is the best-designed Nexus smartphone till to this date. And big brother, Nexus 6 might follow the same path and there is the maximum probability that manufactures of Nexus 6 would be LG only.
The Completion

At present not much information is available regarding the Google Nexus 6 release date, specifications, features and price. But the story will not end here. One of the internal leaks has revealed, Nexus 6 could be the final smartphone of the Google Nexus series. Because, what would be called the 2015th Nexus? Nexus 7? Well, already this name is occupied by tablet Google Nexus 7. However, positivity will never die inside the smartphone fans, we know Google will launch it with another name including nexus.

According to Korean media, the expected LG G3 flagship release date will be May 17th, and it will sport a QHD display (1440 x 2560 resolution). That shortens the typical annual upgrade cycle since the G2 a bit, but apparently LG doesn't want to leave much sales on the table to the Galaxy S5, like it did last year.

The screen diagonal is reported to be slightly larger than on the G2, to a speculated 5.5 inches, which would naturally mean quite the thin bezel all around, if LG wants to keep the overall size in check, too. Previous rumors pegged the rear camera to be 16 MP, probably with OIS tech, while the processor part rumor is more interesting, claiming LG's own Odin mobile chipset will be in there.

As for the alleged LG G Pro 2 phablet with QHD display that was supposed to be announced next month, this seems to be still in play, with a 5.9" screen diagonal bandied about, and unveiling around the MWC at the end of February, which would give LG a headstart before Samsung with QHD phones, warming up the bench until the G3 arrives three months after that.

Beats Pill XL

Parents, get ready for your kids to start acting uncharacteristically well-behaved. Beats Electronics has announced three new products just in time for the holidays, and you can bet at least one of them will be on your child’s wish list. New to the Beats roster is a new super-sized Beats Pill XL wireless speaker, a revamped version of the original Beats Pill wireless speaker and a wireless version of the recently-refreshed Beats Studio headphones.

The new wireless Studio headphones are said to be exactly the same as the recently revamped wired version, but with Bluetooth built in for cord-free listening. The new cans employ the same adaptive noise cancellation, Beats Acoustic Engine (DSP), and built-in rechargeable battery, but expect wireless operation to cut back on battery life – 12 hours for wireless listening, 20 hours for wired. The new wireless Studio headphones are expected to retail for $380 and will be available in early December. Beats Studio wireless

As you might expect, the Beats Pill XL is a larger version of the original wireless speaker, stretching to over 13-inches long and 4-inches in diameter, and outfitted with a handle for portability; but it brings more to the party than just extra length and girth. New for both Pill speakers is NFC for quick pairing to NFC-enabled devices and to other Pill speakers. Tap two Pills together and they’ll both play the same song. Tap them twice and you’ll get Left and Right stereo channels. Each Pill comes with a rechargeable battery said to be capable of delivering 15 hours of listening time, with a 5-LED gauge to indicate how much juice is left. Also new for the Pills this year is a USB port for device charging. The new Pill is expected to go for $200 while the XL version will cost you $300.

Beats is also vying for a spot in your kids’ stockings this year with some clever accessories such as Pill bicycle mounts and carrying sleeves. Apparently, there are also “life-sized Pill characters” available, so … knock yourself out.

Apple's annual merry-go-round of rumours and speculation seems to start earlier and earlier every generation. Rumours surrounding the iPhone 6 fired up before the iPhone 5S had even been officially announced in September 2013 so that now, as early as January 2014, we already have a boatload of information regarding what the successor model might be like.

Emphasis on the might, of course, because as always Apple is wrapped up tighter than a ridiculously tightly wrapped thing, so until it lets the cat out of the bag we can't know anything for sure.

As with previous models, a big chunk of the rumour pie rather optimistically focuses on the idea the iPhone 6 will be bigger than its predecessors, with a larger display.

Meanwhile, the idea of Apple regularly upgrading its chipsets has become somewhat predictable, in-line with its software. To the extent that, although the company threw a few curveballs with the massive overhaul that was iOS 7 and the upgrade to 64-bit architecture on the A7 chip, we can still confidently say we'll see a boost in power and optimisation, with iOS 8 and the A8 chip bringing these improvements.

Aside from this, there's talk of camera enhancements, solar power, mobile payments, styluses and liquid metal, amongst other things.

Read on to get up to speed with all the latest gossip on Apple's iPhone 6, aka, the iPhone Air, if some theories are to be believed.
iPhone 6 full spec revealed

A new report claims to have revealed "every last detail" of the iPhone 6's spec line-up.

The news comes via South Korean investment firm KDB Daewoo Securities, which in a note to investors listed the upcoming handsets key features.

The report reiterates previous rumours suggesting Apple will have multiple models to launch in different size categories. According to BGR, KDB Daewoo is "known for having inside sources that have accurately foretold companies’ plans on numerous occasions in the past." Make of that what you will.

It's claimed there will be a standard iPhone 6 model with a 4.7-inch or 4.8-inch display at a full HD 1920x1080 pixel resolution, and a larger phablet variant with a 5.5-inch display using a 2K QHD resolution at 2272x1280 pixels.

Internal storage for both models will include the usual 16GB, 32GB and 64GB variants, plus a 128GB beast for those with lots of stuff to store. The battery will be rated at 1,800mAh while a 64-bit Apple A8 processor will use 2GB of RAM.

There isn't a great deal of detail about the camera other than to say it's rated at 8-megapixels while the front-facing secondary is a 3.2-megapixel setup. There's no mention of those enhanced autofocus or "Lytro" rumours we've heard of previously, but that doesn't necessarily rule them out either.

The report has a few curveballs though, rather than iOS 8 as previously suspected, iOS 7.2 is listed as the onboard software build. Another oddity is the idea of the iPhone 6 appearing in Q2 or Q3, where most reports are expecting September 2014 as part of Apple's usual anual cycle

After a drop in profits and something of a lukewarm reception to its 2013 flagship, Samsung is tipped to come out guns blazing with a radically redesigned and uber-powerful follow-up in the form of the Galaxy S5 later this quarter.

The device is possibly set to arrive in at least two flavours, according to multiple reports: one plastic, the other metal. It will also pack in all the latest hardware and technology, so don’t be surprised to find at least 3GB of RAM, a 2K resolution display, a completely re-worked exterior design and a fresh lick of paint on the custom TouchWiz UI.

Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 805 chipset is likely to feature in the UK version, while Galaxy S5 units bound for Asia are said to benefit from Samsung’s own 64-bit Exynos 6 CPU. With regards to a launch date it’s looking increasingly likely Samsung will launch the device at a London event in March, though there are still plenty of eyes on Mobile World Congress (MWC) for the end of February.

That’s a brief summary, however, so read on to find out all the juicy details about the Samsung Galaxy S5.
Display: AMOLED vs LCD

Rumours are suggesting the Samsung Galaxy S5 could ditch its Super AMOLED display for an LCD display. The display in question is Sharp’s Low Temperature PolySilicon (LTPS) LCD offering.

Chinese site Tencent is reporting the company aims to lose its super AMOLED display but it is based on “unconfirmed information.” That information does suggest though that Sharp is going to provide 5.25-inch 2K Ultra HD LTPS displays which have a higher pixel density of 560 pixels-per-inch (ppi). Not bad.

Samsung usually makes its own AMOLED screens; it’s been using them since the first Galaxy S edition. But the rumour mills are suggesting it is focusing its efforts on creating those sought after flexible OLED displays ready for 2015. Samsung also owns a good portion of Sharp so it isn’t like outsourcing to an entirely separate manufacturer.

Another reason is it has run into production issues with the AMOLED displays which means the Korean company can’t keep up with the demand for a new flagship device.

Previous reports have ping-ponged back and forth between the idea of different types of AMOLED and LCD. Some of the earliest believed we would see Samsung’s flexible OLED screens and since then we’ve heard PLS LCD may also be an option. Generally though, the 2K resolution is a very consistent rumour.

Another source suggests the Galaxy S5 could have a qHD display resolution. got hold of a couple of Android app package names thought to be from the S5.

One package is dubbed "3DTourViewer_WQHD_K.apk", which indicates compatibility with a QHD resolution at 2560x1440 pixels.Samsung Galaxy S5 AMOLED and WQHD Resolution?

A report has leaked a bunch of details about Samsung’s Galaxy S5. KDB Daewoo Securities is usually a pretty reliable source and the company revealed Samsung will use an AMOLED display on the Galaxy S5. It will have WQHD 2560 x 1440 560ppi resolution.

Other details included the addition of an AMOLED Diamond Pixel matrix.

The leak also brought about some specifications including a 2.5 GHz Snapdragon 805 processor alongside a 2.0 GHz Octa-core Exynos 6 (64-bit) - that's two different processors for different variants of the handset. The phone will be running Android 4.4 KitKat with 3GB of internal RAM.

There will be three storage sizes including 32GB, 64GB and 128GB. All the handsets will come with LTE Advanced technology, 3G and Wi-Fi. Camera wise there’s a 3.2MP front facer and a 16MP rear camera. There’s also a 3200mAh battery to run it all.
Design

A recent patent filed by Samsung for a new, super-curvy smartphone design was initially associated with a supposed launch of a Galaxy Note 4 in late 2014. The patent diagrams included an S-Pen stylus socket in the chassis.
