Profile
A web developer or engineer who works with both the front and back ends of a website or application. This position involves full LAMP stack development. Qualified candidates must be able to demonstrate comfort and skill in Linux, Apache, MySQL, PHP, HTML, CSS & JS; Node & Python would be nice to have. We’re interested in candidates that have proven they can solve technical challenges on their own, think outside the box and communicate well.
Responsibilities
- Create scalable REST APIs (on top of existing)
- Identify, debug and fix bugs that may arise
- Development of new plugins and/or third party integrations
- Identify and implement opportunities to lower overall server costs & improve performance.
- Building reusable code and libraries for future use
- Conduct UI tests
- Designing and implementing new features and functionality
- Identify, debug and fix bugs that may arise
- Quality Assurance
Skills you’ll need
- Experience with building highly scalable products.
- Experience integrating REST APIs
- Familiarity with integration software for connecting applications, data and devices
- Highly knowledgeably in working within cloud providers as AWS/Digital Ocean
- Proficient in database management and implementation
- Strong knowledge of PHP, MySQL & Bash Shell scripting
- Understanding of setting up and administering web servers using LAMP Stack & Node.js.
- Strong understanding of fundamental web security principles.
- Ability to document and troubleshoot errors
- Expertise and experience with semantic HTML, CSS and Javascript.
- Functional knowledge or experience with Web Services (REST) and APIs.
- Strong understanding of UI, cross-browser compatibility, and web standards.
- Strong experience in Responsive Web Design to create performant web products.
- Strong experience working with the LAMP stack.
