We don't just claim our PCU is IP65 — we prove it. 💦

All our LED PCUs are IP65 compliant, meaning water splash and dust are no issue. The front panel is sealed with silicon, the back is sealed with silicon, and we use IP68 connectors — so even if water, dust or humidity reaches the monolith, you don't have to worry.

But claims are easy, so here's the proof: we placed our LED PCU inside a tank of water, and it kept operating without any issue. We even poured water directly over it — no problem at all. By fully submerging the unit and keeping it running, we're actually exceeding IP65.

Why do we take this so seriously? Because we supply across Southeast Asia, where rain, humidity and heat are the number one killer of electronic components. To last in this climate, IP65 isn't optional — it's essential.

Every LED PCU we ship has already been running for at least 48 hours — before it ever leaves the factory. ⏱️

This is our burn-in test department. The reason behind it is simple: if a product has a hidden defect, it most often reveals itself early, during the first hours of continuous operation. So instead of waiting for that to happen at a client's site, we make every unit run non-stop for a minimum of 48 hours.

If any issue appears during that period, we catch it, take the unit out, and repair it right here — before shipment.

And we don't test just a few samples. 100% of our products go through this 48-hour burn-in, and we test the complete set together — the cable, the PCU, and the controller.

That way, when the product reaches you, it's in tip-top condition and ready to go.

A price sign is rarely just a price sign.

On these TotalEnergies pylons in Phnom Penh, the fuel prices share the structure with the premium fuel brand, a 24/7 ATM, the car service centre and the convenience store.

Everything on that pylon is competing for the same few seconds of a driver's attention. The price digits still have to be the thing they read first.

One afternoon in Phnom Penh, looking at other people's price signs.

We make fuel price signs, so wherever we go, we look at everyone else's. Not to judge them. To see how other brands answer the questions our customers ask us:

How many rows?
How big do the digits need to be?
Can you still read it at noon?
Where does it sit, so a driver sees it before the turn?

Went back to look at boards we put up in Cambodia.

That is the part of this business nobody photographs. Everyone shows you the day the sign goes up, clean and bright, with the crane still in shot. Almost nobody goes back afterwards and shows you the same board on an ordinary afternoon, with traffic going past and nobody paying it any attention.

That is the only test that counts. A price sign is not a product you launch. It is a product you live with.

Ours are still up. Still readable from the road.

Spent an afternoon walking forecourts in Phnom Penh, just looking at price signs.

One board stopped me. LPG had its own row on the pylon. Separate line, separate digits, sitting under the fuels.

That sounds like a small detail until you are the one ordering the board. The rows you need are the rows you sell, and nobody else's forecourt sells exactly what yours does.

Which is why our minimum order is one. One station, one board, built to your rows.

"Everyone says their quality is good. How do you prove it?"

You do not prove it with words. You prove it with a document.

Every AVS client gets a written Warranty Statement when they purchase from us. Not a verbal promise, not one line in a brochure. It sets out:
- The warranty period
- Scope: what is covered (LED price change unit, controller, and so on)
- What is excluded (natural disasters, for example)
- Who pays the freight when you make a claim

That last one is where suppliers quietly differ. Ex-factory repair means you ship the part there, you pay for the repair, and you pay the freight back. All three costs land on you.

With us: you send it to us, we repair or restore it, and the return freight is ours. The cost is shared, and it is written down when you buy, not negotiated after something fails.

So ask any supplier for their warranty statement before you sign. If they cannot hand you one, that tells you what the warranty is worth.

Warranty terms vary by market. The exact period that applies to you is confirmed on your quotation.

"Everyone says they have a warranty. Then when you actually need it, you cannot find them anymore."

Fair. So here is ours, on record.

During the MCO period, a batch of incoming material turned out to be faulty. Signs across multiple sites failed, panels not lighting up.

What we did:
- Full replacement of every affected component, at our cost
- Covered the dismantling
- Shipped the new units out
- Arranged local contractors to reinstall and service on site

32 cases, May to December 2021. Labour alone came to roughly RM 40,000. Add the replacement panels and the freight, and the total ran into six figures, all borne by us.

It was our problem, so we carried it.

This is a long-term product. You need your supplier to still be there in year 4, 5, 6, 7, with the component you need to swap. We have been in this market for more than 10 years, and cases like this are the reason we are still here.

"China quotes me so much cheaper. Why are you so expensive?"

Fair question. And the answer is not dollars and cents, it is what sits inside the panel.

We build with OSRAM automotive-grade LED. We do not use unbranded LED.

Automotive grade is rated for what an LED goes through inside a car: vibration, heat, moisture. A pylon sign on a forecourt is fighting the same three things, every day, for years.

What that buys you:
- Brightness that stays consistent across the whole sign, instead of one digit brighter and the next one dimmer
- Slower brightness and colour deterioration over the years
- A price that is still readable from the road, not a faded panel quietly ageing your brand
- Fewer maintenance call-outs down the line

The Petronas pylon we installed 9 years ago is still bright and clearly visible today, under full Malaysian sun.
