🔥 Great energy in our session yesterday as the team came together for an internal training focused on improving how we approach business conversation.

Stepping away from the usual day-to-day, the team spent a full day out of the office to slow down, look ahead, and enjoy some time together as a team! 🎉 As we prepare to move into #2026, it was a good opportunity to reflect on what we’ve learned, align on priorities, and connect outside our usual work setting.

𝐄𝐚𝐫𝐥𝐲 𝐃𝐞𝐭𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐚 𝐒𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐬 𝐂𝐲𝐛𝐞𝐫 𝐁𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐤-𝐈𝐧. 🚨

Recently, Company M experienced a cyberattack that hid behind something that looked completely normal: a login from a real employee account.

Our team first noticed something off when unfamiliar software began installing itself on a server and several PCs. It was not something the company used, so we checked with them right away. They confirmed they had no idea what the software was. That was enough for us to dig deeper. A quick scan and, sure enough, it came back as malware.

In just a few minutes, the attacker had already pushed it to multiple machines, hoping it would spread quietly before anyone noticed. But once we confirmed the threat, we moved fast and contained everything from blocking the malicious traffic, removing the software from every affected system, and cutting off the attacker’s access before anything could escalate.

Here’s what the team did:
✅ Reset affected accounts and blocked suspicious access
✅ Removed all harmful files from every affected device
✅ Strengthened access controls to prevent similar incidents

Thanks to the swift detection and response, the issue was caught early, and the attack was stopped before it could harm the business.

Simple Measures That Prevent Firewall Intrusions 🔒

Recently, two of our clients kept seeing alerts about their firewall CPU suddenly spiking. After investigating, we noticed a pattern: nonstop login attempts coming from outside Malaysia. Someone (or a bot) was clearly trying to get in.

To protect their systems, we simply restricted the firewall so only users in Malaysia could log in. That immediately cut off every foreign attempt. We also set up instant alerts for failed logins, so the team gets notified the moment something unusual happens.

Once everything was in place, the results were clear:
⚡ CPU usage returned to normal.
🛑 All overseas login attempts were blocked instantly.
📩 Monitoring became faster and more responsive.

A simple fix, yet it made a big difference. Both companies could finally relax knowing their systems weren’t being quietly targeted anymore.
