Channels play a pivotal role within the framework of Digital Banking, especially when traditional brick-and-mortar branches are absent. The evolution of banking automation began with the transformation of manual branch operations, dating back three decades. Personally engaged in the early 90s, I led the transition from manual to automated branches, resulting in an impressive 40% reduction in staff requirements.
In the progressive journey of channel development, Banks embarked on a path from Multi-Channel to Omni-Channel strategies, culminating in the dynamic realm of Open Banking, as exemplified by PSD2. This progression underscores the industry's commitment to providing seamless and comprehensive financial services.
